Trump is setting the record straight.

President Donald Trump is setting the record straight after The New York Times published explosive claims that Tesla CEO Elon Musk used illegal drugs—allegedly even during visits to the White House. When asked about the matter Monday, Trump said he had no knowledge of any drug use on federal grounds, adding, “I hope not.”

Media Frenzy Over Musk’s Alleged Drug Use

In a May 2025 report, The New York Times alleged that Musk engaged in “intense” drug use throughout the 2024 campaign season—the same campaign that resulted in President Trump’s historic return to office.

According to unnamed sources cited by the outlet, Musk supposedly used a combination of ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and even traveled with a personal medication case containing up to 20 pills daily, including what resembled Adderall.

The Times claimed Musk’s drug use had gotten so extreme that it affected his bladder function—a documented side effect of excessive ketamine use.

Musk Fires Back: “Pure Propaganda”

Musk, who owns X (formerly Twitter), responded immediately, labeling the Times’ story as “BS” and “pure propaganda.

“I’m in meetings with dozens—sometimes hundreds—of people every single day. I’m constantly photographed. If this garbage were true, it would be extremely obvious,” Musk posted.

The billionaire entrepreneur has admitted to using ketamine as therapy for depression but insists it was always under medical supervision.

Trump: “I Don’t Know—But I Wish Him Very Well”

When asked whether Musk had ever used drugs at the White House, President Trump responded:

“I really don’t know. I don’t think so. I hope not. I wish him well. We had a good relationship, and I still wish him very well.”

Despite their recent disagreements, the president showed no animosity toward the tech mogul.

The Rift Over Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill”

Tensions between Trump and Musk began after Musk publicly criticized Trump’s signature “One Big Beautiful Bill”—a legislative powerhouse designed to deliver tax relief, border security, and federal spending reforms.

Musk called the bill “pork-filled” and an “abomination,” arguing it added too much to the U.S. national debt.

Their disagreement soon turned personal. Musk even floated unfounded claims about President Trump being linked to Jeffrey Epstein—a charge Trump’s team flatly rejected.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded, calling it an “unfortunate episode not grounded in reality.”

Musk Out, But His Reforms Stay

Though Musk has stepped away from his advisory role, his policy legacy remains. The DOGE initiative—a Trump-era oversight group Musk helped design—continues to operate across federal agencies, recommending aggressive spending cuts and pushing back against bureaucratic waste.

“The entire Cabinet stands behind DOGE,” said Leavitt.

Bottom Line: Trump Focused on Governing, Not Gossip

While the corporate media tries to stir up drama, President Trump remains focused on reviving the economy, securing the border, and restoring America’s greatness. The president dismissed the controversy and closed with a simple statement:

“I’m not troubled by anything with Elon.”
