Actions have consequences.
President Donald Trump is calling for the largest mass deportation effort in American history, demanding that ICE step up arrests and removals of illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
In a strong Sunday evening statement on Truth Social, Trump praised ICE agents and reaffirmed his commitment to restoring law and order, even as left-wing protests erupted across the nation.
“Largest Mass Deportation in History” Underway
“Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible courage as they carry out the largest mass deportation of illegal aliens in U.S. history,” Trump wrote. “They are constantly targeted by radical Democrat politicians and violent mobs, but they keep going—because real Americans stand with them.”
Trump officially ordered ICE to ramp up arrests in America’s most crime-ridden sanctuary cities, stating, “This is the single most important national security operation taking place today.”
Chaos in the Streets: ICE Raids Spark Violent Protests
The president’s comments come after a week of anti-ICE protests in major cities. While some were peaceful, others turned violent. In Los Angeles and Portland, rioters attacked law enforcement and federal facilities.
The unrest began June 7, after ICE raids in Southern California led to hundreds of arrests, including gang members and repeat violent offenders. Trump responded by deploying the National Guard—earning backlash from Democrats who claimed the move would inflame tensions.
Tragedy in Salt Lake City: Innocent Bystander Killed
Violence escalated further this weekend during a protest in Salt Lake City. A man with a rifle charged toward the crowd. In the chaos, two event organizers opened fire but tragically shot an innocent bystander by mistake. The suspect, identified as Arturo Gamboa, 24, was taken into custody.
Trump: Deportations Will Continue, No Matter What
Despite the protests, President Trump made it clear: deportation efforts will not be stopped.
“To fix this crisis, we must expand detention and removal operations in cities run by Democrat leadership,” he wrote. “These cities are overrun with millions of illegal aliens who take jobs, strain public services, and are used by Democrats to boost their voter rolls.”
Targeting Crime and Chaos in Democrat Strongholds
Trump directly linked illegal immigration to the erosion of public safety, school quality, and economic opportunity in Democrat-controlled cities.
“Illegal alien crime and chaos are destroying once-great American communities,” he said. “We must stop the mass destruction migration and restore law, order, and peace.”
ICE to Prioritize Criminal Aliens—But No One is Above the Law
Trump’s administration emphasized that ICE will continue focusing on illegal immigrants with violent records. However, all who break immigration law are subject to removal.
Critics, including Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, argue the economy depends on immigrant labor. “Whole sectors can’t function without them,” she claimed on CNN.
But the Trump White House reportedly instructed ICE to avoid agricultural sites, hotels, and restaurants temporarily—aiming to protect key industries while still fulfilling its mission.
“America First” Immigration Policy Moving Forward
For millions of older Americans who have seen promises come and go, Trump’s message strikes a chord: illegal immigration must end, and America must come first.
“Our government is focused on remigration—returning illegal aliens to their countries of origin—and preventing future chaos at the border,” the president declared.
He ended his statement with a message to ICE:
“The American people are cheering you on. We will not stop until our cities are safe again.”
