Law enforcement joins Secret Service to investigate chilling post targeting Trump at Florida golf event
JUPITER, FLORIDA — A Florida man has been arrested after allegedly posting an online threat aimed directly at President Donald J. Trump. Authorities are taking no chances amid what has become a disturbing pattern of violent attempts to harm the 45th President — and now, once again, Americans are being reminded of the dangers Trump continues to face for standing up for our country.
Online Threat Made as President Trump Attended Golf Event
Police say Glen DeCicco of Jupiter, Florida, was taken into custody Friday after a post surfaced on Facebook making written threats to kill President Trump. The alleged threat was made while President Trump was appearing at the LIV Golf Tournament in Doral, Florida — just a short drive from DeCicco’s reported location.
The Jupiter Police Department confirmed the arrest in an official press release, stating they had collaborated closely with U.S. Secret Service agents during the investigation.
Authorities say DeCicco was arrested without incident and is now facing a second-degree felony charge, which in Florida carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
Pattern of Threats Against Trump Continues
This is far from an isolated incident. Since entering the political arena, President Trump has endured multiple assassination attempts — a disturbing reality that mainstream media outlets often downplay.
Among the most serious:
- July 13, 2024 – Butler, Pennsylvania:
Gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire on Trump during a campaign rally. The President was wounded — his ear grazed — before Crooks was fatally shot by Secret Service agents in a heroic response. - June 2016 – Las Vegas, Nevada:
British national Michael Steven Sandford tried to grab an officer’s firearm at a Trump event. He later admitted guilt and was sentenced to a year behind bars. - 2017 – Mandan, North Dakota:
Gregory Lee Leingang, 42, stole a forklift with the intention of ramming Trump’s presidential vehicle. His plan was thwarted before anyone was hurt. - September 13, 2024 – West Palm Beach, Florida:
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was caught firing a rifle near Trump International Golf Club. Police say he was a felon in possession of an illegal firearm with a defaced serial number.
Secret Service Stands Guard as Threats Increase
In a February briefing, Secret Service Director Sean Curran reassured the public that the agency remains vigilant:
“I’m confident in the men and women in the Secret Service… We’ve really come together, and I’m confident in the process.”
With threats continuing to mount and political tensions at an all-time high, many Americans — especially older, patriotic citizens — are more aware than ever of the price President Trump pays for putting America First.
Justice System Responds Swiftly
Florida’s law on written threats to kill is clear and strict. If found guilty, Glen DeCicco could face up to 15 years in state prison, reinforcing that such behavior will not be tolerated — especially when it comes to threatening a sitting President.
This arrest serves as yet another reminder of the real threats President Trump faces, and the growing concern over left-wing extremism targeting conservative leaders.
