Here’s Trump’s warning.

President Donald Trump is sounding the alarm over what he calls a looming economic disaster — one that could rival the Great Depression of 1929 — if activist judges block the tariffs that have powered America’s recent economic boom.

In a fiery Truth Social post Friday, Trump credited his tariffs on foreign imports with delivering record-breaking stock market highs, historic job growth, and hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into America’s coffers. He warned that a last-minute ruling against them would devastate the economy, wipe out gains, and plunge the nation into financial chaos.

“If a Radical Left Court ruled against us at this late date… it would be 1929 all over again — a GREAT DEPRESSION!” Trump declared.

The Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher

The warning comes as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reviews a decision from the U.S. Court of International Trade, which last year claimed Trump exceeded his authority when imposing certain tariffs. That ruling threatens to dismantle one of the cornerstone policies of his America First economic agenda.

Trump said if courts were going to oppose the tariffs, they should have done so years ago — not now, after they’ve fueled unprecedented American prosperity.

“Our Country deserves SUCCESS AND GREATNESS, NOT turmoil, failure, and disgrace,” Trump added. “God Bless America!”

A Direct Challenge to the Radical Left

Trump’s message is clear: his tariffs are more than trade policy — they are a defense of America’s economic independence, manufacturing base, and negotiating power on the world stage. Critics on the Left, he argued, are willing to sacrifice all of that to weaken his presidency and surrender U.S. leverage to foreign powers.

As Trump put it, stripping away tariffs now would not only be a “judicial tragedy” but would also rob future generations of the chance to experience America’s current economic greatness.
