Unfortunately, Trump has to clean up Biden’s mess but he’s doing it with light speed.
New GOP Agenda Rolls Out More Tax Relief, Border Security, and Cuts to Biden-Era Waste
America First policies are charging ahead as President Donald Trump and House Republicans prepare a new wave of powerful legislation aimed at reversing the damage done by the Biden-Harris administration. According to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., more major “Trump megabills” are in the works—and the next one could arrive as early as this fall.
“This is just the beginning of taking our country back,” Johnson said during a Sunday appearance on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. “The first big, beautiful bill was a major victory. But we’ve got more coming to fix the financial wreckage and policy failures left behind.”
Johnson confirmed that Republicans are moving forward with at least two more reconciliation bills—one in the fall and another in the spring—that can pass without Democrat support. These bills will allow conservatives to advance the Trump agenda on tax relief, border enforcement, and cutting bloated government programs.
“Democrats created this mess, and they have no interest in fixing it. That’s why we’re doing it ourselves,” Johnson said. “We’re focused on restoring accountability, reducing inflationary spending, and rebuilding American strength.”
Part of that plan includes rescission packages—tools that allow the president to cancel previously approved spending and redirect funds away from failed programs. These moves are expected to slash waste, eliminate fraud, and rein in runaway government spending.
Johnson also emphasized the GOP’s commitment to codifying more of President Trump’s executive actions into permanent law. “He’s been working nonstop, and so will we. The mission is far from over.”
Trump’s July 4th signing of a $3.3 trillion tax and policy overhaul marked a major win for working Americans. The bill locks in Trump’s historic 2017 tax cuts, boosts military funding, and strengthens U.S. border security.
Key highlights of the bill include:
- New tax deductions for overtime pay and tips
- Expanded funding for border enforcement and national defense
- Strategic rollbacks of Biden-era economic regulations
- Pro-growth provisions aimed at reviving small businesses
Conservative voters 50 and older—many of whom felt the direct impact of Biden’s inflationary policies—are now seeing long-overdue relief. With more legislation on the horizon, Republicans say the plan is clear: restore prosperity, secure the border, and drain the swamp.
