Schiff is going to lose his mind.

In a bold move that reinforces President Donald Trump’s commitment to American energy independence, a major offshore oil reserve off the coast of California is back in action — and liberals like Rep. Adam Schiff are fuming.

After nearly a decade of sitting idle, the Santa Ynez oil platform is producing again, thanks to decisive action from Trump’s Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. The reserve, which holds an estimated 190 million barrels of oil, was once bogged down by layers of red tape and aggressive anti-energy activism.

But now, under President Trump’s pro-drilling, pro-America agenda, production is resuming — and fast.

“This is what energy dominance looks like,” said Kenneth Stevens, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement. “No more delays. No more liberal roadblocks. Just results.”

The Interior Department confirmed Friday that it overcame a web of environmental reviews, state regulations, and opposition from California Democrats to greenlight the restart. What once took years under the Obama-Biden bureaucracy was completed in just five months under Trump.

Schiff and fellow California Democrat Rep. Salud Carbajal tried to stop the move. In a desperate letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom, they claimed California is “still reeling” from wildfires and warned of “climate change disasters.” They pushed the usual anti-fossil fuel rhetoric, calling the pipeline “corrosion-prone” and invoking the 2015 Refugio oil spill.

But the Trump administration didn’t back down.

“President Trump made it clear: American oil should fuel American homes — not foreign oil from hostile nations,” Stevens added.

The Santa Ynez Unit has been shut down since 2015, after a pipeline leak prompted a lengthy shutdown. But in 2024, Houston-based Sable Energy purchased the site from ExxonMobil and signaled its intent to bring energy jobs and production back to the West Coast.

Thanks to President Trump, that vision is now a reality.

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement projects that three offshore platforms will be fully online by year’s end, providing critical energy resources at a time when gas prices and inflation continue to hit working families hard.

Meanwhile, Democrats are still trying to block progress. In April, Carbajal introduced a bill to permanently ban offshore oil exploration in California. It’s the kind of extreme measure that would make the U.S. more dependent on foreign oil, drive up costs, and threaten national security — all while ignoring the real economic needs of American citizens.

“While Schiff and the radical left fearmonger, President Trump is rebuilding America’s energy future — one rig at a time,” said a spokesperson for the Interior Department.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer: Democrats offer delays and decline. Trump delivers results.
