The GOP just gave Crockett something to cry about.

In a bold move that could reshape the balance of power in Washington, Texas Republicans have proposed a redistricting plan that may boot far-left Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett from her own district—while delivering up to five new congressional seats to the GOP.

The proposed map—introduced last week by Texas House Republicans—is designed to correct years of Democrat-dominated urban strongholds by bringing balance back to cities like Dallas and Houston. The changes, if passed, would give Republicans more representation in Congress and strengthen President Donald Trump’s efforts to defend traditional American values.

Rep. Crockett, known for her fiery rhetoric and far-left agenda, currently represents Texas’ 30th Congressional District, which includes a large portion of Dallas. Under the new map, she would no longer reside in the district—a move she slammed as “a power grab.” But many see it as a long-overdue course correction.

Before the map was made public, Crockett and other Democratic lawmakers were asked to confirm their home addresses—now seen as a sign GOP leaders were preparing for serious reform.

This rare mid-decade redistricting could also ignite bitter infighting among Democrats. One example: longtime Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D) could be forced to run against Rep. Greg Casar (D) in a newly merged Austin-area district, triggering a high-stakes primary clash between two progressive figures.

Democrats are sounding the alarm. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries flew to Austin, calling the map “an all-hands-on-deck moment” and vowing to fight it in the courts, in the media, and in the streets. “Texas Democrats will not bend the knee,” he said, accusing Republicans of trying to silence minority voters.

But Republican leaders argue the map is not only legal—it’s fair. It reflects population changes and ensures that conservative Texans have a stronger voice in Washington after years of being sidelined by liberal policies.

Standing alongside Jeffries, Rep. Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX) warned that Texas could spark a national trend of redistricting favoring Republicans. For many Trump supporters and patriotic Americans, that sounds like a step in the right direction.

With President Trump back in the White House, conservatives are seizing the moment. The battle over Texas is more than just redistricting—it’s about restoring common sense, protecting free and fair elections, and putting America First.
