This move has stunned the left.

President Donald Trump has questioned the legality of pardons issued by President Joe Biden, particularly those connected to the controversial January 6th Capitol investigation. Trump strongly argues these pardons are “null and void,” claiming they were improperly signed using an autopen without Biden’s explicit consent or knowledge.

Biden’s Autopen Controversy

Trump recently stated on Truth Social: “The pardons Joe Biden issued for the politically motivated January 6th committee and others are legally worthless. They were signed by autopen, and Joe Biden neither personally signed nor knew about them.”

He further suggested wrongdoing, saying, “Those responsible for these unauthorized signatures might face criminal investigations.”

Accusations Against January 6th Committee

Trump directly accused the January 6th Select Committee members of misconduct, alleging they “destroyed and deleted critical evidence during their politically driven two-year investigation against me and other innocent Americans.” He cautioned they “should prepare for the highest scrutiny for their actions.”

Conservative Group’s Findings

The conservative Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project supports Trump’s claims, recently revealing extensive autopen use by the Biden administration. Their report stated, “Nearly all official Biden signatures during his presidency appear identical and machine-generated, raising serious concerns.”

Biden Defends Pardons

President Biden previously pardoned prominent figures, including General Mark Milley, members of the January 6th Committee, and police officers who testified. Biden argued these individuals “served honorably” and should be protected from “politically driven prosecutions.”

Court Decisions Pending

When asked aboard Air Force One about pardons signed via autopen, Trump cautiously replied, “I believe they’re invalid, but that decision ultimately rests with the courts.”

What’s Next?

The autopen controversy continues to stir debate, raising significant questions about executive transparency and accountability. Many conservatives now question: Were Biden’s pardons legitimate?
