WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald J. Trump is demanding an apology from CNN and other liberal media outlets after what he described as a deliberate attempt to downplay the U.S. military’s overwhelming success in bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“CNN is gutless. It’s fake news. And it owes our brave B-2 pilots an apology,” Trump said Tuesday morning.
As he departed the White House, the President fielded questions about the conflict between Israel and Iran — but he quickly turned his attention to the media. He accused CNN and MSNBC of trying to “rewrite history in real time” by questioning the effectiveness of the weekend’s massive airstrike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
U.S. Military Strike Wipes Out Iran’s Nuclear Sites
Over the weekend, elite B-2 Spirit stealth bombers carried out a coordinated precision strike on three major Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Each location was targeted with 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, capable of destroying underground fortifications. Trump hailed the mission as “one of the most successful military operations in modern history.”
“Iran’s top nuclear facilities were completely and totally obliterated,” the President announced Saturday night in a televised address.
According to military analysts, Iran’s nuclear ambitions may now be set back by years, if not permanently.
CNN and MSNBC Under Fire for ‘Fake News’ Coverage
But rather than highlight America’s victory, major corporate news outlets like CNN and MSNBC spent the weekend casting doubt on the scale of the destruction. Trump wasn’t having it.
“They tried to spin it — saying the sites weren’t fully destroyed,” he said. “That’s a total lie. The bombs hit after dark. It was a moonless night. Our pilots were perfect. That place is gone.”
President Trump blasted CNN directly, calling them “gutless losers” and accusing them of disrespecting the men and women of the U.S. military.
“CNN should be ashamed. They owe our pilots and our country an apology,” he said.
He also took aim at MSNBC, mocking its leadership: “MSDNC — it’s run by Brian Roberts, who’s a total disgrace. Weak. Pathetic. Just like their coverage.”

Across the country, patriotic Americans have echoed Trump’s frustration with the mainstream media. Many say it’s time for networks like CNN to be held accountable for consistently pushing narratives that undermine national security achievements under President Trump’s leadership.
“This was a massive win for American strength and deterrence,” said one military analyst. “But instead of celebrating that, they’re nitpicking and casting doubt. It’s disgraceful.”
