Trump has an urgent message for Americans.

The State Department has issued an urgent national security alert, renewing its strict “Do Not Travel” advisory for Venezuela. The warning comes as conditions inside the socialist nation continue to collapse, putting American lives at immediate risk.

Reissued Wednesday, the advisory cites extreme dangers including violent crime, terrorism, kidnapping, arbitrary detention, and the near-total failure of Venezuela’s health system.

The advisory warns that all American citizens and lawful permanent residents currently in Venezuela should leave the country without delay.

No Embassy. No Protection. No Safety Net.

In 2019, the United States severed diplomatic ties with Venezuela and closed its embassy. As a result, the government warns it cannot provide emergency assistance, leaving Americans completely on their own.

The advisory states plainly: “There is no safe way to travel to Venezuela.”

Officials caution that even accidentally crossing a few feet into the wrong area could lead to immediate detention by hostile security forces.

A Surge in Crime and Brutal Detentions

The situation inside Venezuela has deteriorated dramatically:

  • Homicides, armed robberies, kidnappings, and carjackings are widespread.
  • Criminals target foreigners, especially near airports and ATMs.
  • Dangerous Colombian terrorist groups operate throughout Venezuela’s border regions.

Security forces have detained U.S. citizens for years at a time, denying due process and cutting them off from the outside world. Former detainees describe beatings, stress-position torture, waterboarding, and other inhumane treatment.

The advisory warns that the U.S. is often not notified when an American is taken into custody.

Americans Told To Prepare Their Own Emergency Plans

Because the U.S. cannot intervene, Americans in Venezuela are urged to create a “proof of life” plan and prepare for emergencies independently.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed earlier this year that Americans are currently being wrongfully held by the Maduro regime.

Socialism Has Collapsed the Country

The advisory highlights Venezuela’s severe shortages of:

  • Fuel
  • Electricity
  • Clean water
  • Medicine
  • Essential medical supplies

The failures of the socialist system have created a humanitarian and security disaster that now threatens foreign visitors.

Natural Beauty Cannot Hide the Danger

Although Venezuela is home to incredible landscapes—such as Angel Falls in Canaima National Park and the turquoise beaches of the Los Roques Archipelago—the Department of Transportation still bans U.S. airlines from flying to the country.

Travelers are warned that tourism does not outweigh the life-threatening risks.

Trump: America Is Cracking Down

The advisory comes as President Donald Trump intensifies his campaign to dismantle narco-terrorism networks operating across the region.

Trump said Wednesday, “We’re taking out drug-running vessels at a pace like never before. And soon, we’ll be doing the same on land.”

Trump also criticized Venezuela’s socialist government for weaponizing migration, arguing that the Maduro regime has intentionally sent killers, gang members, and high-level drug traffickers across international borders.
