Here’s what Pam Bondi had to say.
Washington, D.C. — Talk of President Donald Trump serving a third term is heating up again — and Attorney General Pam Bondi just weighed in with a bold take.
During an exclusive interview on Fox News Sunday, Bondi expressed strong support for President Trump’s leadership. “I wish we could have him for 20 years,” she said. “But realistically, after this term, his time may be up — at least under the current law.”
Can Trump Legally Serve Three Terms?
The U.S. Constitution currently limits presidents to two terms. This rule came after President Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected four times and was formalized in 1947 through the 22nd Amendment.
To change this law, it would take a massive constitutional amendment — requiring:
- Approval by two-thirds of both the House and Senate
- Ratification by three-fourths of U.S. states
Bondi called this process a “heavy lift,” adding, “That’s really the only legal path.”
Trump Says He’s “Not Joking” About a Third Term
Despite the obstacles, President Trump isn’t backing down from the idea.
On March 31st, he told NBC News that he’s “not joking” about seeking a third term — suggesting that there are “methods” to explore.
While many legal scholars remain skeptical, Bondi’s comments indicate that the conversation is far from over.
Over 170 Lawsuits: Bondi Says This Is the Real Constitutional Crisis
Attorney General Bondi revealed that the Trump administration has faced more than 170 lawsuits since taking office — many of them politically motivated.
“We’re being sued constantly for enforcing the law and putting America First,” Bondi said. “If there’s a constitutional crisis, it’s the weaponization of the courts against this administration.”
Trump Administration Wins Big in Supreme Court Over DEI Grants
In a major victory for the White House, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the administration’s decision to freeze $64 million in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) grants from the Department of Education.
The move pauses taxpayer-funded programs that critics say push a left-wing agenda in America’s schools.
Bondi celebrated the win, saying, “This is about restoring common sense and real education in America. The Supreme Court stood with us — and with the American people.”
Trump Admin Seeks Death Penalty in Brutal NY Murder Case
Bondi also confirmed that the Department of Justice will pursue the death penalty in the high-profile case of Luigi Mangione, charged with murdering health insurance executive Brian Thompson in broad daylight on a New York sidewalk.
“The president has made it crystal clear: When the crime fits, we seek capital punishment,” Bondi stated. “And if this case doesn’t call for the death penalty, what does?”
What’s Next for Trump?
While legal barriers stand in the way of a third term for President Trump, Bondi’s remarks show that nothing is off the table. As the president continues to lead with strength, a growing number of Americans — especially seniors, veterans, and working families — are asking: Why should we stop a winning presidency?
As the fight for America’s future continues, President Trump and his loyal team show no signs of backing down.
