Things are changing dramatically within the Democrat party.

A newly released poll has exposed a growing rift inside the Democratic Party. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a member of the far-left “Squad,” is now leading Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in a potential primary matchup. The poll reveals that even Jewish Democrats—longtime allies of Schumer—are abandoning him in large numbers.

According to a survey conducted by Honan Strategy Group for the Jewish Voters Action Network, Ocasio-Cortez is ahead of Schumer by 54% to 33% among likely Democrat voters in New York City.

Even more startling: among Jewish Democrats, AOC leads 45% to 33%, with 17% still undecided. These numbers suggest that the once-powerful senator is rapidly losing support from a core base that helped shape his 50-year political career.

“This should be a blaring siren for Senator Schumer,” said Maury Litwack, co-founder of Jewish Voters Action Network. “He’s bleeding support across the board—and even worse, in the Jewish community.”

Chuck Schumer’s Fall from Grace?

Schumer, 74, has long presented himself as a leading defender of Israel and Jewish causes. But that image appears to be crumbling.

Despite writing a book on antisemitism, Schumer has come under fire for what critics say is a lack of real action during a historic rise in antisemitic hate across America. His failure to push through the Antisemitism Awareness Act in 2023—despite Democrats controlling both the Senate and the White House—has been seen by many as a betrayal.

The bill would have allowed the Department of Education to use the IHRA definition of antisemitism when investigating civil rights complaints on college campuses—particularly during the recent wave of anti-Israel protests.

According to Litwack, “When antisemitism surged after the October 7th Hamas massacre in Israel, Schumer—the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in America—failed to lead.”

AOC’s Anti-Israel Agenda Gains Ground

Meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez, 35, has embraced a radical anti-Israel stance. She’s a proud member of the Democratic Socialists of America, which openly supports the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement—a campaign many consider to be antisemitic.

After Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, slaughtering civilians and taking hostages, AOC outrageously labeled Israel’s response as “genocide.”

Yet despite her extreme rhetoric, she is gaining ground—a troubling sign for moderate Democrats and Jewish voters who feel politically homeless.

Schumer Accused of Covering Up Campus Antisemitism

Schumer’s problems don’t stop there. A recent bombshell from a House investigative report revealed allegations that Schumer advised Columbia University to ignore antisemitism complaints during student-led protests.

Schumer has denied the accusations, but the damage to his reputation may be irreversible.

Betraying Israel from the Senate Floor?

In another stunning move, Schumer publicly attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an active war in Gaza. He went so far as to call for new Israeli elections—a move that many interpreted as an attempt to undermine the Jewish state’s leadership during a time of crisis.

Critics say these actions prove Schumer is no longer a reliable ally to Israel or the Jewish people, despite his past claims.

Democrat Infighting Deepens as Trump Leads the Nation

Schumer is also facing pressure from within his own party. In March, he voted to pass a six-month government funding bill to prevent a shutdown—drawing backlash from left-wing activists still reeling over Donald Trump’s second term in the White House.

They accused Schumer of being too weak, with some even calling on him to step down as Senate Democratic leader in favor of someone more combative.

Schumer defended the bill, claiming a shutdown would have caused “devastation like we’ve never seen.”

Final Word: Democrat Civil War Is Here

This poll is more than just bad news for Chuck Schumer—it’s a clear sign of internal collapse within the Democratic Party. As fringe voices like AOC gain momentum, traditional liberal figures like Schumer are being cast aside.

For conservative Americans watching from the outside, it’s another sign of the radical left’s growing control over the Democratic agenda. Faith, freedom, and support for Israel are no longer safe within the party of Schumer and AOC.
