Kevin Youkilis Rips AOC: “Empty Words, No Action”

BOULDER, CO — Former Major League Baseball star Kevin Youkilis is calling out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) after a brutal terror attack targeted Americans peacefully demonstrating for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

The victims — ages 52 to 88 — were participating in a Run for Their Lives event in Boulder, Colorado, when a man allegedly threw homemade firebombs at the crowd. At least one person remains in critical condition. The FBI is calling it a targeted act of terrorism.

AOC’s Response: Sympathy, But No Solutions

After the attack, Ocasio-Cortez posted online that she was “horrified” and expressed support for Jewish communities. She acknowledged rising antisemitism but offered no specific plan to address it.

“My heart is with the victims and our Jewish communities across the country,” she wrote.

That statement didn’t sit well with Youkilis — a two-time World Series champion and proud Jewish American — who accused the Democrat of repeating the same meaningless gestures after every violent act.

“Jewish people continue to face violent attacks, and once again we see the same empty gesture repeated,” Youkilis posted on X. “What action have you taken against those openly calling for intifadas in New York City?”

“Where Is the Leadership?”

Youkilis urged Ocasio-Cortez to confront the radical mobs that have taken over the streets of New York, chanting anti-Israel and antisemitic slogans.

“Stand up to the extremist crowds shouting for intifadas in New York,” he urged. “That would show real courage—but we all know most politicians, regardless of party, back down out of fear of losing political favor and influence.”

Youkilis is best known for his time with the Boston Red Sox, and briefly played for the New York Yankees before retiring in 2013. Since leaving baseball, he has become an outspoken advocate for confronting antisemitism and defending American values.

Columbia Chaos and AOC’s Silence

This isn’t the first time AOC has drawn criticism. Last year, she described pro-Hamas demonstrations at Columbia University as “peaceful,” even as Jewish students were advised to stay home for their own safety. Video showed students praising Hamas and justifying terrorism — with little pushback from campus officials or Democrat leaders.

For many, this pattern of double standards and weak leadership is becoming impossible to ignore.

FBI: A “Targeted Terror Attack” by Illegal Immigrant

The suspect, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, is accused of lighting eight Americans on fire with improvised incendiary devices. Video from the scene shows him shirtless, holding two more firebombs after the initial attack. He eventually surrendered to law enforcement.

Soliman entered the U.S. on a temporary visa in August 2022, which expired in February 2023. Although he received a short-term work permit, that too expired. He remained in the country illegally at the time of the attack.

Conservative Leaders Demand Accountability

The attack has reignited serious questions about:

  • Border security
  • Visa enforcement
  • The Biden administration’s immigration failures
  • Political silence around antisemitism on the Left

Older Americans, particularly those who remember the cost of appeasement and open borders, are demanding change.

As one observer noted: “It’s not enough to send a tweet. True leadership means standing against evil, not excusing it.”
