This was terrifying.
A shocking moment unfolded inside President Donald Trump’s Oval Office Thursday afternoon when a guest suddenly collapsed during a live press event — right in front of President Trump and Dr. Mehmet Oz, who immediately jumped into action.
The frightening scene took place as President Trump was unveiling a major White House announcement on new obesity drug initiatives. Cameras captured the guest beginning to lose balance just before the feed was abruptly cut.
“Are you okay, Gordon? You okay?” asked Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks, as staff members scrambled to help.
Within seconds, Dr. Oz — now serving as the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services — rushed to the man’s side, checking his pulse and breathing while President Trump rose from his seat behind the Resolute Desk.
Officials could be heard shouting “Press out!” as Secret Service and White House medical staff cleared the room.

Trump’s Calm Leadership Amid the Chaos
According to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, the man was a representative of one of the pharmaceutical companies present and had simply fainted after feeling lightheaded.
“The White House Medical Unit responded immediately, and the gentleman is okay,” Leavitt confirmed.
After a short delay, President Trump returned to the podium to reassure the nation.
“You saw he went down — but he’s fine,” Trump said. “He’s receiving medical care, and he’s doing great. Just got a little lightheaded. We had a brief interruption, but he’s okay.”
The President’s calm demeanor and quick response drew praise online from supporters who noted how Trump handled the unexpected emergency with composure and compassion.
Speculation Swirls About Identity of the Guest
Initial online chatter identified the man as Gordon Findlay, a senior executive with Novo Nordisk, the company behind popular weight-loss drugs Ozempic, Rybelsus, and Wegovy.
However, Novo Nordisk later clarified that only two executives — CEO Mike Doustdar and EVP Dave Moore — were in attendance.
“We hope the gentleman who suffered a medical incident today is okay,” the company said in a statement.
Second Scare for Dr. Oz This Year
Ironically, this wasn’t Dr. Oz’s first on-camera emergency this year. Back in April, his 11-year-old granddaughter fainted during another White House event shortly after Oz had been sworn in to his new position.
Once again, President Trump was present, offering reassurance and remaining calm as medical staff responded.
White House Confirms: Guest Doing Well
While it’s unclear what triggered the fainting spell, officials say the man is recovering and in stable condition. Such incidents, while rare, occasionally occur during long or high-pressure events.
As for President Trump — supporters online praised his reaction, noting how his decisive leadership and steady composure stood out in the middle of an unexpected crisis.
