What was she thinking?!?

Vice President Kamala Harris sparked widespread backlash on Monday after trying to celebrate the anniversary of her failed 2024 presidential campaign—a campaign many conservatives say symbolized the total collapse of Democrat leadership in Washington.

One year ago to the day, President Joe Biden abruptly withdrew from the race and endorsed Harris as his replacement. Despite receiving no votes in the primaries, Harris became the Democrat nominee—a move that critics say reeked of desperation.

Now, as she marks the anniversary of her short-lived campaign, Americans are asking: why celebrate failure?

On social media, Harris posted polished images from her campaign trail along with a glowing caption. “One year ago today, I began my campaign for President of the United States,” she wrote, praising “activists” and calling on Americans to keep fighting for “our democracy.”

But conservative commentators quickly pointed out what many saw as a glaring omission: not once did Harris mention Joe Biden, the very man who handed her the nomination.

“You didn’t earn a single primary vote. How very democratic,” wrote political commentator Amy Curtis.

The Republican National Committee also weighed in, posting, “Becoming the presidential nominee without getting a single vote is not the flex you think it is.”

Investigative journalist Chuck Ross joked, “lol. complete Joe Biden erasure.” Political commentator Link Lauren echoed the sentiment: “No mention of Biden again. She was there every step of the way with that failing administration. Voters haven’t forgotten.”

Others pointed out the timeline. “Why did her campaign conveniently start on July 21?” asked National Review senior writer Dan McLaughlin. Columnist John Hawkins mocked the campaign’s celebrity support, writing, “Did Beyoncé help you win? Oh, that’s right—you lost.”

Townhall’s Kurt Schlichter didn’t hold back, calling her campaign a “complete failure” with a “reputation that crashed on impact.”

According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records, Harris’ campaign burned through over $1 billion in just three months, with money reportedly going to celebrity influencers, left-wing activist groups, and high-end travel—including private jets. Despite the massive spending, she lost decisively to President Donald Trump in the general election.

Fox News Digital reached out to Harris’ office for comment. As of now, no response has been issued.

A Campaign Built on Optics, Not Results

Conservatives argue that Harris’ campaign was built more on style than substance. Americans were told she was the future of the Democratic Party. But after months of soaring rhetoric, big promises, and Hollywood endorsements, voters delivered a different message—loud and clear—in November: They chose strength, leadership, and results under Trump.

As the Biden-Harris era fades, the MAGA movement continues to gain momentum—and the American people aren’t interested in revisionist history.
