European golfers turned their Ryder Cup victory in New York into a political jab, taunting President Donald Trump in front of thousands of fans.
As Team Europe raised the trophy, players chanted: “Are you watching, Donald Trump?”—a clear attempt to mock America’s 47th President. The crowd joined in, echoing the chant across Bethpage Black.
Trump, showing more class than his critics, quickly responded on Truth Social: “Yes, I’m watching. Congratulations!” His measured reaction stood in sharp contrast to the hostility directed at him.

But the Ryder Cup didn’t just feature Trump jeers. The atmosphere was ugly throughout the weekend. Sections of the crowd—and even one official emcee—resorted to foul language and harassment. Comedian Heather McMahan was forced to apologize after leading a vulgar chant against golfer Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy himself, after enduring constant taunts, finally snapped at one heckler, telling him to “shut up” while preparing a crucial shot. Several spectators were ejected for going too far.
Despite the chaos, Team Europe survived a furious U.S. comeback to secure a dramatic 15-13 win. But instead of celebrating with dignity, they turned the spotlight on Trump, using their victory stage to score political points.
For conservatives, the message is clear: when liberals mock Trump, it’s passed off as “humor.” But when Trump responds with dignity, the media ignores it. Once again, the double standard is impossible to miss.
SHAMEFUL THAT WE LET THESE EUROPEANS SPEAK AND ACT LIKE THIS IN OUR COUNTRY. IM ASHAMED THAT EUROPEANS SEEM TO HAVE SO LITTLE CLASS. NO SPORTMANSHIP AT ALL.
