Democrats are resorting to FOOLING voters.

A Democrat running for Congress in one of New Jersey’s most Trump-aligned districts is raising eyebrows after quietly deleting a trail of progressive social media posts—just as she tries to reinvent herself as a so-called “moderate.”

Rebecca Bennett, a Navy veteran and current Air National Guard member, is seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge GOP Rep. Thomas Kean Jr. in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District—a seat former President Donald Trump carried and one the Cook Political Report still ranks as “Lean Republican.”

But voters are now asking: what is she hiding?

Deleted Posts Reveal Support for Far-Left Figures and Anti-Trump Causes

According to a review by Fox News Digital, Bennett wiped several revealing posts from her X (formerly Twitter) account—posts that praise progressive firebrands like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, failed Vice President Kamala Harris, and even embattled Sen. Cory Booker.

One deleted post read simply: “Love her,” referring to Warren. In another, Bennett gushed over a mash-up video of Warren set to a Taylor Swift song, writing: “I love everything about this.”

Bennett also cheered Harris’ VP nomination with a now-deleted post that read: “Let’s Goooooo.” In a separate post, she dubbed Booker the “best senator.”

All of it’s gone now.

Support for Anti-Police Rhetoric and Trump Impeachment Also Scrubbed

Even more concerning to conservative voters, Bennett deleted a 2020 post supporting comments by former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe, who called for congressional hearings on police response during the George Floyd riots.

Bennett also appeared to support the first impeachment of President Trump, aligning herself with Democrat Rep. Jason Crow. “I’m a vet who also didn’t have the equipment I needed to do my job,” she wrote, tying her military experience to the impeachment push.

Now, those posts have vanished—without explanation.

Campaign Launch Avoids Democrat Label Altogether

In her nearly two-minute campaign announcement video, Bennett never once mentions that she is a Democrat—a striking omission in a race where the political divide is sharp and deeply felt. Critics say it’s an intentional strategy to mislead voters in a district that narrowly backed Trump and continues to support America First policies.

GOP Responds: “She Can’t Be Trusted”

Maureen O’Toole of the National Republican Congressional Committee didn’t mince words:

“Rebecca Bennett is clearly trying to distance herself from her past and hide an agenda that’s far too extreme for New Jersey voters.”

“New Jersey voters see right through her act and know exactly who she is: a radical scam artist who can’t be trusted.”

When pressed by Fox News Digital, Bennett’s campaign refused to explain why the posts were deleted. Instead, her team accused Republicans and conservative news outlets of launching “bad faith attacks.”

Pattern of Deception Among NJ Democrats?

This isn’t the first time a Democrat in the Garden State has tried to bury their progressive record. Sue Altman, another Democrat defeated by Kean in 2024, also deleted controversial posts critical of law enforcement—a move that drew sharp backlash.

With Republicans holding a narrow majority in the House—just 220 seats to Democrats’ 215—the NJ-07 race is one to watch. And for voters in this conservative-leaning district, the choice between a proven Republican leader and a Democrat trying to erase her record may be clearer than ever.
