Democrats are out of control.
Portland’s far-left Democrat Mayor Keith Wilson is openly defying President Trump’s immigration policies, proudly declaring that his city will not cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — even as violent anti-ICE mobs wreak havoc on city streets.
This shocking announcement came after yet another night of chaos and destruction outside Portland’s South Macadam Avenue ICE detention facility, where radical agitators rioted on Labor Day.
Video footage shows extremists rolling out a guillotine, burning American flags, and screaming threats at federal officers. The chaos forced federal agents to deploy tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash bangs to disperse the violent crowd.
“We will not engage with federal immigration enforcement,” Mayor Wilson told KOIN 6 News.
“Our goal is to remain a sanctuary city. You can rest assured we will never work with ICE under any circumstances.”
Portland Declares War on ICE
Instead of helping federal officers enforce immigration laws and protect American families, Wilson revealed he is working with left-wing state officials and congressional Democrats to undermine ICE operations.
“We are coordinating with our congressional delegates and city leaders,” Wilson said.
“We’re running tabletop exercises to plan our response to what we consider federal overreach.”
These “tabletop exercises” are essentially war games, preparing Portland to resist Trump’s immigration enforcement while allowing dangerous illegal alien criminals to remain free in the community.
City Descends Into Lawlessness
The Labor Day riots are only the latest example of Portland spiraling out of control.
Since June, the detention facility has been the site of near-nightly chaos, including:
- Rioters blocking law enforcement vehicles, preventing ICE agents from entering or leaving the facility.
- Violent attacks on federal officers, including rocks, fireworks, and improvised weapons.
- Protesters using riot shields and military-style gear to push back against law enforcement.
- Angry protesters shouted insults like, “You’re nothing but violent cowards!” and “You’re pathetic excuses for human beings!”
Despite this violence, Portland officials have refused to make arrests or back up federal officers.
This hands-off approach has emboldened agitators and fueled even greater lawlessness.
ICE Stands Strong Against Threats
Even amid escalating attacks, ICE is not backing down.
ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheahan appeared on Fox & Friends to reassure Americans that her agency will continue to fight for law and order.
“ICE officers are facing unprecedented threats, but we refuse to back down,” Sheahan stated. “We will keep pursuing illegal alien criminals who have caused chaos and harm to American communities. Our priority is to keep this country safe, and we’ll make sure our agents have the resources and protection necessary to do their jobs.”
Sheahan also confirmed that ICE is taking steps to protect agents and their families from doxxing and violent threats — a growing danger as left-wing activists target law enforcement.
Trump’s America-First Agenda vs. Portland’s Radical Left
While President Trump fights to secure America’s borders and defend law-abiding citizens, Democrat-run cities like Portland are prioritizing illegal immigrants and political activists over public safety.
This defiance raises serious questions:
- How many more riots will it take before Portland’s leaders put citizens first?
- How many crimes must be committed before illegal immigration is treated as a national security crisis?
- When will Americans demand accountability from radical local politicians?
Bottom Line
The clash between ICE and Portland is more than a local issue — it’s a battle over America’s future.
President Trump’s administration is working to enforce the law, secure the border, and protect U.S. citizens, while far-left city leaders are actively undermining federal authority.
Every violent protest, every illegal alien protected by sanctuary policies, and every attack on ICE officers proves the stakes couldn’t be higher.
The question now is simple: Will America stand with law enforcement and the rule of law, or with anarchists and open borders?
