Texas Democrat Belittles Border Security and Calls ICE “Uber Drivers”

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is under fire after mocking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and attacking President Donald Trump’s immigration policies during a podcast with California Governor Gavin Newsom. Crockett, a freshman Democrat known for her far-left rhetoric, claimed ICE agents are nothing more than “glorified Uber drivers” instead of a vital part of America’s border security system.

Crockett Dismisses Immigration Enforcement

On Newsom’s This Is Gavin Newsom podcast, Crockett described ICE as Trump’s “personal army” and downplayed the agency’s role in protecting Americans from illegal immigration. She suggested ICE’s only job should be transporting migrants, not carrying out raids or deportations.

“ICE for the most part is nothing but a ride… look at them as a fancy Uber driver for immigrants,” Crockett said.

Her remarks echo a growing trend among Democrats who have openly called for defunding or dismantling ICE—an agency that plays a central role in removing dangerous criminal aliens and securing America’s borders.

Attacks on Trump and His Supporters

Crockett didn’t stop at ICE. She ridiculed immigration raids, claiming they make America look like a “joke,” and accused Trump and his supporters of being the “most unpatriotic” Americans.

“The most unpatriotic people that we have in this country are MAGA and this president,” Crockett said, urging Democrats to “take the flag back.”

These inflammatory remarks are the latest example of Democrats attempting to redefine patriotism while ignoring the real threats posed by unchecked illegal immigration.

The Stakes for Border Security

While Crockett and Newsom mock ICE, President Trump has repeatedly emphasized the importance of enforcing immigration laws to protect American families, jobs, and communities. Trump’s supporters argue that without ICE and secure borders, the U.S. faces greater risks from drug cartels, human trafficking, and repeat offenders entering the country illegally.
