Donald Trump’s once-loyal online champions are speaking out—and it could change everything.
For years, President Trump enjoyed unwavering support from some of the most influential voices in conservative media. But now, high-profile personalities like Joe Rogan, Andrew Schulz, Tim Dillon, and others are breaking ranks—and millions of everyday Americans are taking notice.
These weren’t fringe critics. These were the same men who once rallied millions behind Trump’s anti-establishment message. Now, they’re openly asking whether he’s abandoned that mission—and if “America First” still means what it used to.
From Fighter to Insider? The Manosphere Speaks Out
Andrew Schulz, once a bold MAGA supporter, stunned listeners during his Flagrant podcast on July 10. He questioned whether President Trump is still fighting for working Americans—or cozying up to the very elites he promised to expose.
“The only party that seems ‘America First’ right now is the Democrat Socialist party,” Schulz said. “Not because their ideas are good—but because at least they’re trying to help the people here.”
His remarks echoed a rising frustration sweeping through the conservative online world known as the manosphere—a community of liberty-minded, anti-woke voices now openly challenging the direction of the Trump movement.
Joe Rogan Breaks the Silence on Immigration Raids
Joe Rogan, one of the most influential commentators in the world, has also taken a hard stance against Trump’s immigration strategy. In a June 18 podcast episode, Rogan criticized the administration for targeting everyday laborers instead of violent criminals.
“They’re going after construction workers and gardeners—not cartel leaders or traffickers,” Rogan said. “That’s not what people signed up for.”
Rogan raised these concerns directly with President Trump during a private dinner on June 30 with UFC President Dana White. But instead of reassurance, Rogan came away even more frustrated—and by July 2, he was calling the policy “insane” on-air.
Broken Promises on War, Spending, and Freedom?
Other conservative figures have joined the chorus. Libertarian comedian Dave Smith, a longtime Trump defender, apologized publicly for ever supporting him. “He should be impeached and removed,” Smith declared, citing Trump’s actions on Iran and endless foreign entanglements.
Tim Dillon, another former Trump booster, took it further—mocking the administration’s harsh enforcement tactics in cities like Los Angeles and calling detention centers like Florida’s “Alligator Alcatraz” nothing more than “Tiger King–style” theater.
“Rubber bullets, National Guard, chaos in the streets,” Dillon said. “If this is what winning looks like, someone needs to grab the wheel.”
The Epstein Files: Trust Shattered
But perhaps the biggest betrayal in the eyes of many came from Trump’s handling of the Epstein case.
The Department of Justice released a memo in July reaffirming that Epstein died by suicide and that no “client list” exists. That explanation didn’t sit well with Trump’s base—especially after former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed she had seen the list personally.
Elon Musk, Laura Loomer, and Joe Rogan all slammed the administration’s response. Musk posted: “How can people trust Trump if he won’t release the Epstein files?”
Rogan delivered a sarcastic jab: “Shout out to all the people who still don’t believe in conspiracies. Your loyalty is inspiring.”
Schulz was more blunt: “Lying to Americans is not ‘America First.’”
Dan Bongino’s Dilemma: A Loyalist Under Fire
Perhaps the most dramatic fallout came from former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino—once a trusted Trump insider brought into the FBI to help “drain the swamp.”
After reviewing the Epstein documents himself, Bongino confirmed: “He killed himself. That’s the truth.”
That admission sparked outrage from MAGA supporters. Bongino, once a hero of the movement, was suddenly under fire, accused of participating in a cover-up. Reports suggest he’s considering resigning from the FBI over how the situation has been handled.
Even longtime allies like Megyn Kelly have called for Bondi’s removal, pointing to mismanagement and lost public trust.
Bottom Line: Is the MAGA Movement at a Crossroads?
The conservative media landscape is shifting. The very voices that helped propel Trump to victory are now questioning whether he still represents the values of working-class Americans. From immigration and foreign wars to fiscal responsibility and government transparency, the core principles of the MAGA movement seem to be under review—by its own creators.
Whether Trump will re-earn their trust—or lose the next generation of conservative influencers—remains to be seen.
