Trump wins again!

President Trump confirms China is eager to negotiate—as his hardline trade policies start delivering real results for American workers.

President Donald Trump has revealed that Communist China is pushing hard to strike a trade deal with the United States, just as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent prepares for critical negotiations in Switzerland this Saturday. The talks come at a time when Beijing is under growing pressure from sweeping U.S. tariffs aimed at restoring American manufacturing and ending decades of economic exploitation.

“Scott’s going to be meeting with China,” Trump told reporters at the White House Thursday. “They really want to make a deal. People can argue about who called who—it doesn’t matter. What matters is what comes out of that room. And I can tell you this: China wants a deal badly.

Trump’s Bold Tariff Strategy Forces Beijing’s Hand

The Trump administration has taken a strong America First stance on global trade, hitting back against unfair practices that have gutted U.S. industries and ballooned the national trade deficit. In early April, Trump authorized a 145% tariff on Chinese imports, signaling that the U.S. will no longer tolerate being taken advantage of by foreign powers.

Other nations were given temporary relief—with reciprocal tariffs cut to 10% for 90 days—to encourage honest negotiations. But China retaliated by slapping a 125% tariff on American goods, escalating tensions and increasing the stakes of the upcoming talks.

Despite the pressure campaign, Trump remains firm: “We want a fair deal, that’s it,” he said Sunday aboard Air Force One. “No more games. We’ve played that game for 40 years, and it’s cost this country too much.”

Treasury: China Could Lose 10 Million Jobs If They Don’t Blink

Speaking at the White House on April 29, Treasury Secretary Bessent warned that China’s economy could shed up to 10 million jobs if tariffs stay in place. “Even if there’s a partial rollback, they’re still looking at 5 million lost jobs,” he said.

“They sell nearly five times more to us than we sell to them,” Bessent told lawmakers. “We hold the leverage. Their tariffs aren’t sustainable.”

Bessent also confirmed the U.S. is in active discussions with other trade partners and hinted that major new deals could be announced within days—a move designed to further isolate China and reward nations willing to deal fairly with the United States.

America’s Comeback: Manufacturing, Jobs, and Fair Trade

The White House has cited the record $1.2 trillion trade deficit in 2024 as evidence that previous globalist policies failed the American people. Trump’s strategy aims to reverse that trend by bringing jobs back home, rebuilding industry, and putting U.S. interests first.

Critics once scoffed at tariffs—but today, even the media can’t deny the results. China is back at the table. Manufacturing jobs are returning. And for millions of Americans, President Trump’s tough talk is finally paying off.
