Here’s what happened…
During his presidency, former President Donald Trump was heavily criticized for using a policy called Title 42 which allowed him to quickly deport illegal migrants back to their home countries after they entered the United States during a pandemic.
Now, it appears that President Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has doubled down on the use of Trump’s Title 42 policy and is fighting back against Democrats who claim the policy is “illegal” or “inhumane”.
According to Yahoo News, Mayorkas fought back against those who are unhappy with their use of Title 42 and said it “is not an immigration policy that we in this administration would embrace,” the policy is a “public health imperative.”
Currently over 930,000 migrants have been sent out of the United States under the Title 42 policy from October 2020 and August 2021 according to Newsmax. And the Biden Administration has also used it to expel newly arrived Haitians as well.
