Rep. Marilyn Strickland (D-Wash.) warned against removing officers from promotion lists after they’ve already passed rigorous evaluations.

“These individuals are qualified. Their records have been thoroughly reviewed,” she said.

Rep. Sarah Elfreth (D-Md.) also praised George’s leadership, calling him honest and solutions-focused in his dealings with Congress.

“The American people deserve a clear explanation,” she said.
