Military officials said Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, of Glendale, Kentucky, passed away on March 8, 2026, after suffering severe injuries during an enemy strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement released by the War Department, Pennington had been wounded during the attack that occurred on March 1, when Iran launched retaliatory strikes following the start of hostilities in the region.
Initial Reports Showed No Casualties
