Democrats are growing increasingly divided and anxious as President Donald Trump continues to gain national ground, according to presidential adviser and longtime political strategist Dick Morris. Speaking on Newsmax’s Saturday Report, Morris said Democrat leaders are “lashing out at anything they can find” as frustration inside the party reaches a breaking point.
Morris argued that Democrats have no real strategy to counter the positive economic shift and the growing public confidence in Trump’s leadership.
“They’re so frustrated with Trump’s success that they’re attacking anything in sight,” he said.

According to Morris, Democrats keep trying to steer voters toward inflation and affordability concerns—but that argument continues to backfire.
He noted a key comparison that resonates strongly with older Americans: “Since President Trump returned to office, prices have risen less than 3%. Under Joe Biden, they skyrocketed by 24%.”
This contrast, he said, is a major reason why voters—especially seniors on fixed incomes—are returning to Trump in overwhelming numbers.
Morris added that the economic recovery is real, even if some results take time to show up on store shelves.
“Lower beef and poultry prices are already coming, but agriculture moves on a natural timetable,” he said. “Cattle need time to mature, eggs need time to produce. Consumers will see relief.”

Morris warned that the Democrat Party’s reaction to Trump’s resurgence has become increasingly extreme. He pointed to:
- Sharp voting splits in Congress
- Growing socialist influence in urban centers
- Escalating internal conflicts among Democrat leaders
According to Morris, these fractures are signs of a party losing control, especially as Trump strengthens his message on the economy, border security, and national stability.
Trump’s Health Insurance Overhaul Sends Democrats Into Panic
One of the biggest sources of Democrat anxiety, Morris said, is Trump’s plan to redirect health insurance payments directly to patients—cutting out bloated insurance companies.
“Trump wants the money going to the consumer, not the middleman,” he explained. “That will lower premiums and out-of-pocket costs dramatically. And Democrats know it.”
He said the policy change threatens the backbone of the Democrat health-care agenda and is a major reason party leaders are sounding the alarm.
Democrats Accused of Encouraging Military Defiance
Morris also criticized Democrats who have suggested military personnel resist lawful presidential orders. He called the suggestion dangerous, irresponsible, and incendiary.
“They’re baiting people into defying the law,” Morris said. “These orders are not illegal. They’re simply enforcing the law—especially when it comes to cracking down on illegal immigration.”
According to Morris, Democrats refuse to openly admit they oppose firm border enforcement, but their rhetoric reveals exactly that.
