Kimmel has to go.
President Donald Trump is once again putting the spotlight on ABC’s troubled late-night lineup—this time calling out Jimmy Kimmel for what millions of Americans have noticed for years: the declining quality, the sinking ratings, and the nonstop anti-Trump political rants that have replaced real comedy.
In an early-morning Truth Social post, Trump questioned why ABC continues airing a host he says brings “no talent,” “very poor ratings,” and a predictable, partisan agenda. For many conservative viewers, Trump simply said out loud what they’ve been thinking for a long time.
Trump wrote that ABC “Fake News” is keeping Kimmel afloat despite a show that continues losing viewers across the country—especially older Americans who have watched late-night television transform from family entertainment into political lecturing.
Kimmel’s latest monologue on Thursday proved Trump’s point. Instead of joking about everyday life or real issues, Kimmel opened his show with more politically charged attacks, reviving old insinuations involving the late Jeffrey Epstein—while ignoring the many unanswered questions surrounding Epstein’s connections to powerful figures on the Left.
Kimmel also used the segment to insult Trump’s White House dinner with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, taking swipes at conservative leaders including Senator JD Vance, Pete Hegseth, Stephen Miller, and even Elon Musk. Viewers hoping for comedy were instead met with another round of personal jabs and partisan snark.
A Troubling Pattern From Kimmel and ABC
Kimmel’s record of spreading misinformation has already raised red flags. ABC temporarily suspended his show last September after he suggested—without evidence—that the shooter tied to conservative activist Charlie Kirk might have been a Trump supporter.
This claim directly contradicted statements from the FBI and Republican Utah Governor Spencer Cox, who confirmed the suspect was driven by a radical Left ideology.
Yet even after this embarrassing mistake, ABC quickly returned Kimmel to the air—another example, critics say, of the network protecting one of its most reliably anti-Trump personalities.
Trump Calls Out ABC’s Bias—Again
Tensions escalated further this week when ABC News reporter Mary Bruce confronted Trump in the Oval Office about unreleased Epstein documents.
Trump pushed back hard, accusing ABC of intentionally misleading the American public and questioning whether a network with such a consistent anti-Trump bias should even retain its broadcast license.
“I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake—and so wrong,” Trump said. He added that federal regulators “should absolutely take a hard look at that.”
For many conservatives, Trump’s remarks reflect years of frustration with corporate media outlets that seem more interested in attacking the former president than reporting the facts.
ABC and Disney Silent
Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for both Jimmy Kimmel and Disney, ABC’s parent company. Neither responded.
