Lindsey Graham Makes New Promise To Americans
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday that the government shutdown would officially end — and gave full credit to President Donald J. Trump for forcing Democrats to finally give in.
Appearing on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Graham praised Trump for standing his ground and refusing to keep funding what he called the “Obamacare cash grab.”
“President Trump gave us a breakthrough yesterday,” Graham told host Maria Bartiromo. “He said enough is enough — no more giving hundreds of billions of dollars to bloated insurance companies under Obamacare. That money belongs to hardworking Americans so they can buy better, cheaper healthcare. That broke the Democrats.”
“Obamacare Exposed as a Scam”
Graham said Trump’s hard line has finally pulled back the curtain on what he called the biggest healthcare scam in modern history.
“Obamacare was designed to enrich insurance companies — not to help the average American,” Graham said. “It’s been exposed as a scam, and now even Democrats are starting to realize they can’t win this fight. Cooler heads are finally prevailing.”
The senator declared that the shutdown would end immediately, adding:
“The government will reopen today. Once it does, we’ll handle the healthcare debate — on our terms.”
Democrats’ Strategy ‘Backfired Big Time’
Graham didn’t hold back when describing the chaos caused by the Democrat-led standoff, calling it “political terrorism” that punished ordinary Americans.
“Democrats have tried to terrorize the country — shutting down airports, freezing paychecks, cutting off SNAP benefits — and it’s backfired big time,” he said.
He went on to accuse Democrats of using the shutdown to push a dangerous left-wing agenda.
“They want to repeal the $1.5 trillion in savings President Trump created through Medicaid efficiency, they want to give illegal immigrants taxpayer-funded healthcare, and they want to extend Obamacare — which is the biggest scam on the planet,” Graham said.
Trump’s Stand Strengthened America
Graham said President Trump’s refusal to bend under pressure has reaffirmed strong leadership in Washington — and proved that the America First agenda is still alive and well.
“President Trump stood firm for the American people,” Graham concluded. “He’s fighting for fairness, freedom, and fiscal sanity — and because of that, the government is reopening today.”
