Giuliani Reacts To Mamdani Win

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says he’s heartbroken over the election of Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani, warning that decades of progress in America’s largest city are now “being torn apart.”

“My disappointment is immense,” Giuliani told Newsmax’s American Agenda on Wednesday. “All the work I did has been ruined — and Bloomberg’s too.”

Giuliani, who led New York through 9/11 and transformed it from chaos into one of the safest big cities in the world, said Mamdani’s victory marks a devastating turning point.

🔴 Giuliani: “Attacking President Trump Was a Foolish Mistake”

Giuliani blasted Mamdani’s acceptance speech, where the new mayor sneered at President Donald Trump, saying:

“Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up.”

Giuliani fired back:

“The stupidest, most childish thing a mayor can do is attack the President of the United States.”

He reminded viewers that when he became mayor in 1994 — under Democrat President Bill Clinton — he put politics aside.

“I didn’t vote for Bill Clinton. I campaigned hard for President George H.W. Bush,” Giuliani said. “But Clinton was my president, and I worked with him for the good of my city. He even wrote me a letter saying I was the best mayor in America.”

⚠️ “This Could Cost New York Billions”

Giuliani warned that Mamdani’s open hostility toward President Trump could come back to haunt the city.

“If the president ordered his administration to enforce the law on federal grants, half of New York’s funding could be cut off — just from corruption alone,” he said.

The former mayor blasted the city’s bloated budget and deep-rooted corruption.

“New York City’s budget — for 8 million people — is the same as Florida’s budget for 22 million,” Giuliani noted. “That’s billions in kickbacks, waste, and political payoffs.”

He added that as U.S. attorney, he personally saw how deep the rot runs.

“I put a lot of these people in jail when things were cheaper. It’s been corrupt for 160 years, with a few brief exceptions,” he said.

🔵 “Republicans Saved This City Before”

Giuliani reflected on how rare it is for a Republican to lead New York City — and how much was accomplished when they did.

“I was only the fourth Republican mayor elected in the 20th century, and only two of us stayed Republicans — Fiorello La Guardia and me,” he said proudly.

He credited conservative leadership with bringing law, order, and prosperity back to the city after decades of Democrat mismanagement.

⚫ “Mamdani’s Radical Ties Are Dangerous”

Giuliani didn’t hold back on what he sees as dangerous influences behind the new administration.

“People talk about him being a communist,” Giuliani said. “But he’s also a strong supporter of Islamic extremism.”

He warned that young voters who supported Mamdani have little idea what’s at stake.

“They don’t remember 9/11. They don’t remember what it took to rebuild this city. They take freedom and safety for granted.”

🇺🇸 A Stark Warning for America

Giuliani’s message was clear: New York is a warning for the nation.

“What’s happening in New York today will happen everywhere if voters don’t wake up,” he said. “You can’t mix socialism, corruption, and extremism — and expect a city or country to survive.”
