Trump Needed To End Shutdown
A top Democrat is now admitting what millions of Americans already know — only President Donald J. Trump has the leadership and strength to end the government shutdown that Democrats helped create.
During an interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) said the quiet part out loud: the government can’t reopen without Trump’s direct involvement.
Warner said the stalemate wouldn’t be resolved until President Trump returned to Washington, adding that the president must “prioritize America, join the talks, and help bring this to an end.”
Warner went on to accuse the president of spending too much time on foreign affairs, saying he should “come back and put America first.”
But many conservatives see Warner’s comments as proof that Democrats are playing political games while hardworking Americans continue to suffer. Instead of working across the aisle, Democrats are using the shutdown as leverage to score political points — hoping voters will blame Trump rather than face the consequences of their own obstruction.
“My Republican colleagues can’t move on anything without a Trump sign-off,” Warner admitted, effectively confirming that President Trump remains the central decision-maker in Washington — a fact Democrats can’t stand.
Warner even referenced Trump’s past statements on presidential responsibility, claiming he’s ignoring his own words. But conservatives argue that it’s Democrats who have ignored their duty to govern, blocking funding bills and refusing to negotiate in good faith.
🔥 The Real Story: Trump Leads, Democrats Stall
The truth is simple: President Trump is ready to reopen the government and get Americans back to work — but Senate Democrats are standing in the way.
As inflation continues to squeeze families and government workers wait for paychecks, many Americans are asking: Why won’t Democrats compromise?
Trump has made it clear he’s willing to meet and find solutions. It’s time for Democrats to stop the political theater and start putting America first.
