Trump Doubles Down On ICE Support
President Donald Trump is standing firm on his immigration policy — and he’s not backing down.
In a new “60 Minutes” interview, the president defended recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, saying they’re necessary to protect American families and restore law and order at the border.
“They haven’t gone far enough,” Trump said firmly. “We’ve been held back by liberal judges appointed by Biden and Obama.”
Trump: ‘You Have to Get the People Out’
When CBS’s Norah O’Donnell questioned whether some tactics — including tear gas and window-breaking during Chicago operations — went too far, Trump didn’t hesitate.
“No,” he replied. “You have to get the people out. Many of them are murderers, gang members, and criminals who were already kicked out of other countries.”
O’Donnell pushed back, claiming that ICE had detained non-violent workers and families.
Trump countered that the law is the law — and that illegal entry cannot be ignored.
“Our policy has to be simple and firm — if you entered the country illegally, you’ll have to leave,” he said. “But we’ll gladly welcome you back if you go through the proper legal process.”
Nationwide Crackdown Expands to Sanctuary Cities
Since returning to the White House, President Trump has ordered an aggressive expansion of ICE operations across America.
Federal agents have targeted sanctuary cities such as Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco, where local leaders have long refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.
According to sources inside the Department of Homeland Security, ICE is “everywhere” this week — executing high-profile raids in neighborhoods previously considered off-limits under the Biden administration.
Liberal Leaders Lash Out at Trump’s Immigration Push
Democrat governors and mayors have erupted in outrage over the renewed enforcement effort.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker accused the Trump administration of creating “fear and chaos.”
San Francisco’s Democrat Mayor Daniel Lurie went further, releasing a nine-minute video claiming the raids would cause “violence and confusion.”
But Trump supporters argue that it’s liberal leaders who’ve allowed lawlessness to spiral out of control — and that this president is finally doing something about it.
Law and Order Returns to America’s Streets
For millions of Americans, Trump’s crackdown represents a long-overdue correction after years of weak border policy.
The president’s firm stance sends a message that illegal immigration will no longer be tolerated — and that America’s safety comes first.
As Trump put it:
“We promised to deport the worst of the worst — and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
