Former Vice President Kamala Harris just dropped a political bombshell — admitting that Joe Biden never wanted to debate Donald Trump in 2024.
During a candid interview on the “Diary of a CEO” podcast, Harris revealed she could tell something was “off” with Biden before the now-infamous debate that many Americans say exposed his sharp decline.
“He called me from debate camp,” Harris said. “I could tell something was a little off… I don’t think he wanted to debate. He didn’t want that debate.”
Democrats Knew Something Was Wrong
Podcast host Steven Bartlett pressed Harris on why Democrats kept pretending “everything was okay” when Biden clearly wasn’t.
“You must have known,” Bartlett told her.
Harris didn’t deny it — instead, she hinted that Biden’s reluctance showed from the start.
“If you don’t want to be in the competition, it absolutely affects your performance,” she admitted. “I’m pretty sure he didn’t want to debate.”
She even acknowledged Biden had been “talked into it,” suggesting top Democratic advisers pushed him into a moment he couldn’t handle.
The Debate That Changed Everything
Millions of Americans watched Biden stumble through his words, lose his train of thought, and struggle to finish sentences. His raspy voice and confused expressions raised fresh concerns about his mental fitness and ability to lead.
Even many within his own party privately admitted the performance was “disastrous.”
Harris has since shared more in her new political memoir “107 Days.” She wrote that she was “stunned” by Biden’s weak response on the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, where 13 U.S. service members lost their lives.
“He managed to get off that line but had stepped on it earlier by saying no one had died in wars overseas on his watch,” Harris recalled. “How could he overlook that day?”
The remark referred to Biden’s now-controversial claim that no troops had died during his presidency — a statement that ignored the 13 heroes killed in Kabul.
Biden’s Decline Hard to Deny
For years, Democrats dismissed questions about Biden’s cognitive state as “right-wing attacks.”
Now even Kamala Harris — his own vice president — is admitting what millions of Americans have already seen with their own eyes: Biden wasn’t ready, and he knew it.
Her comments confirm what many conservatives argued from day one — that the Biden White House has been running on political denial, not leadership.
