Democrats are growing very concerned.

CNN anchor Jake Tapper made a surprising confession this week: the youngest generation in America — Generation Z — may be swinging right.

During a recent episode of The Reason Interview podcast, Tapper told Reason’s Nick Gillespie that today’s youth are starting to reject the progressive ideologies they were taught in schools, suggesting a brewing political shift that could reshape the future.

A Rebellion Against the Left’s Indoctrination

Tapper didn’t hold back. He said Gen Z’s emerging conservatism is a direct reaction to years of liberal indoctrination pushed by Gen X and Millennial educators.

“I think it’s a reaction to Gen Xers and Millennials forcing progressive views on them in school,” Tapper admitted.

He explained that many young people have grown weary of being told what to believe — especially on topics like gender, race, and climate — and are now forming their own opinions rooted in traditional values and personal responsibility.

Even Tapper’s Own Kids Are Skeptical of Liberal Ideas

Tapper pointed to his own household as proof.

“Just from knowing Gen Z kids — my kids and their friends — I sense much more skepticism,” he said. “I think Gen Z’s going to be a lot more conservative.”

It’s a rare acknowledgment from a CNN anchor: young Americans may be moving away from the left-wing agenda that dominates academia, Hollywood, and social media.

Data Confirms a Conservative Turn Among Young Voters

And the numbers back him up.
According to new data from the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE), young voters in 2024 were more likely to identify as conservative than in 2020.

Even more striking, voters aged 18–29 were the only age group whose moderate voters leaned toward Donald Trump over Kamala Harris — a major warning sign for Democrats heading into future elections.

Trump’s Rising Appeal Among the Young

Tapper admitted that President Trump performed better with young voters than any Republican in recent history.

“Trump didn’t win young voters as he claims, but he did do better with them than previous Republicans,” Tapper conceded.

That trend may continue as more Gen Z voters reach adulthood and reject the radical social and economic policies that have failed to deliver real results.

Why Gen Z Is Saying “Enough” to the Left

Tapper went even further, admitting that Gen Z’s shift isn’t just about Trump — it’s about the left’s failure to live up to its promises.

“It’s not just Trump reshaping politics,” he said. “It’s a reaction to the failures of progressive movements — whether it’s Bernie Sanders, Black Lives Matter, or #MeToo.”

From endless political lectures during COVID lockdowns to the chaos of progressive education, many young Americans are tired of being told they’re the problem. Instead, they’re gravitating toward freedom, faith, family, and common sense — the same conservative values that built this nation.

The Bottom Line: The MAGA Generation May Be Rising

Jake Tapper may not have meant it as praise, but his words paint a clear picture: America’s youth are tired of division, forced ideology, and moral confusion.

If this trend continues, the next generation could become the most conservative in decades — a generation ready to defend free speech, faith, and the American dream.

It seems “Make America Great Again” isn’t just a slogan anymore — it’s becoming a generational movement. 🇺🇸
