Fetterman Sides With GOP

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is breaking with his own party again — this time defending millions of Trump voters and rebuking Vice President Kamala Harris for calling President Donald Trump a “fascist.”

In a Fox News interview on Hannity, Fetterman told host Sean Hannity that Democrats have “lost the plot” with their nonstop personal attacks against President Trump.

“When Vice President Harris labeled President Trump a fascist, that’s when I realized we had completely lost focus,” Fetterman said.

The Pennsylvania Democrat said Harris and others are crossing a dangerous line — not only attacking Trump but also insulting every American who voted for him.

“If you call the president a fascist, you’re calling his voters the same thing,” Fetterman explained. “That’s not who we are as a country.”

Harris made the comments in late October 2024, as her campaign struggled to gain traction. During a CNN town hall with Anderson Cooper, Harris said she believes Trump is “dangerous” and “a fascist,” even comparing him to Adolf Hitler based on unproven claims from former Trump staffers.

Fetterman said that type of rhetoric is reckless and divisive — warning it can inspire real violence. He pointed to last month’s shocking assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University as a tragic example.

“That kind of extreme talk makes it easier for people to justify extreme actions — even like what happened to poor Charlie Kirk,” he said. “We’re forgetting that we need each other. I refuse to be part of that.”

Fetterman added that he’s tired of politics built on hate.

“If comparing people to Hitler is what it takes to win, then I refuse to do it,” he said.

His comments come as more Democrats privately admit that Harris’s campaign of fear and name-calling is alienating moderate voters and driving them closer to Trump.

Across the country, polls show growing frustration with the left’s double standards — where defending faith, freedom, and the flag earns labels like “extremist,” while open hostility toward conservatives is celebrated.

As one longtime voter put it on social media: “Fetterman’s finally saying what a lot of Democrats secretly believe — the party’s gone too far.”

With the 2024 election fast approaching, it’s becoming clear that President Trump’s base remains energized, while Democrats are divided and running out of time to change course.
