Biden Team Rages At Trump
Former Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre went on a full-blown tirade Tuesday against President Donald J. Trump’s privately funded White House ballroom project, accusing him of “selling The People’s House to the highest bidder.”
While speaking on ABC’s The View, Jean-Pierre blasted the project as “the definition of corruption,” adding that “nothing better symbolizes the current state of the country than seeing Donald Trump literally taking a wrecking ball to the White House.”
Trump’s $250 Million Project—Without a Single Taxpayer Dollar
While Democrats shout “corruption,” President Trump’s $250 million ballroom expansion is entirely financed through private donors, not taxpayers. Major U.S. companies — including Google, Amazon, and Meta — were invited to invest in what insiders describe as “a historic modernization of America’s most iconic building.”
President Trump even confirmed he’s personally contributing to the project:
“You can probably hear the beautiful sound of construction out back — that’s music to my ears,” Trump told GOP senators Tuesday. “It reminds me of money — especially since I’m the one paying for it.”
The People’s House Gets an Upgrade — Critics Lose Their Minds
Demolition on a section of the East Wing began Monday, despite earlier assurances from press secretary Karoline Leavitt that “nothing will be torn down.” The White House clarified that minor adjustments were made after structural safety reviews, calling the criticism “manufactured outrage.”
Still, Democrats pounced. Hillary Clinton accused Trump of “destroying The People’s House,” while Jean-Pierre — now promoting her new book Independent — slammed Washington for “not standing up to Trump.”
“The powers in D.C. act as if they’re powerless,” Jean-Pierre said. “You all have power. Do something with it.”
Conservatives Say It’s a Symbol of Leadership and Independence
To many conservatives, the ballroom represents Trump’s signature leadership style — bold, unapologetic, and self-funded. Supporters say it will enhance the White House’s capacity for hosting major diplomatic and patriotic events while keeping government spending low.
As one Republican strategist told reporters:
“If liberals want to rage over a ballroom paid for with private money while Trump rebuilds the economy and restores American pride — let them. The rest of America will be celebrating in that ballroom.”
