Megyn Kelly Calls Out Fox News

Megyn Kelly is sounding the alarm on Fox News, accusing the network of betraying conservative values and silencing grassroots voices like Charlie Kirk.

On her popular podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly blasted her former network for hypocrisy, claiming Fox pretended to support Kirk publicly while secretly blacklisting him behind the scenes because of his unwavering loyalty to Tucker Carlson and President Donald Trump.

“It really bothers me how Fox News talks about Charlie like he was theirs — he wasn’t. It’s a lie. Just stop,” Kelly said firmly.

Fox News Executives “Banned” Kirk After Tucker Carlson’s Exit

Kelly revealed shocking behind-the-scenes conversations proving Fox leadership deliberately blocked Kirk from appearing on-air.

“Fox News wouldn’t put Charlie on,” Kelly explained. “They banned him because he was too supportive of Tucker Carlson.”

When Tucker Carlson was suddenly fired in April 2023, Kirk’s appearances vanished overnight. Kelly claimed Fox gave him brief, token appearances later in 2024, but the ban never truly ended.

Charlie Kirk Calls Out Fox News’ Snub

In December 2023, Kirk expressed frustration with Fox’s treatment, pointing to the network’s absence from Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest event — a conservative conference Fox had supported for years.

“We don’t have a single person from Fox here this year,” Kirk said. “I hope we can heal the relationship, but for whatever reason, it’s completely broken.”

Kirk confirmed his exile stemmed directly from his public defense of Tucker Carlson.

“Since Tucker’s departure, I haven’t been on Fox,” he said. “Sometimes desperation is the mother of innovation, and we had to build without them.”

Trump Support Played a Major Role

Insiders say Kirk’s strong defense of President Trump also angered the Murdoch family and Fox executives.

He joined a growing list of pro-Trump figures effectively silenced by Fox, including Pam Bondi, Kari Lake, Peter Navarro, Rudy Giuliani, and Donald Trump Jr.

Even Tucker Carlson’s former producer, Abby Grossberg, revealed in a lawsuit that Fox maintained a secret “banned list” of unapologetic Trump supporters like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Steve Bannon.

Fox eventually settled the case for $12 million, but never admitted wrongdoing.

Newsmax Welcomes Kirk While Fox Turns Away

While Fox rejected Kirk, rival network Newsmax gave him a consistent platform, honoring his work and supporting Turning Point USA’s mission.

After Kirk’s passing, a top Turning Point executive personally thanked Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy for always giving Kirk a voice.

“You made your network always available to Charlie, and we felt that,” the statement read.

Conservatives Blast Fox for Hypocrisy

Prominent Trump fundraiser Caroline Wren took to X (formerly Twitter) to remind conservatives of Fox’s betrayal:

“The same anchors crying on air over Charlie’s passing didn’t have the guts to stand up to Murdoch, Paul Ryan, and Karl Rove when they banned Charlie for years,” Wren wrote.

Kelly echoed those concerns, calling Fox’s last-minute appearances for Kirk a “soft ban” meant to cover their tracks.

Kelly: Kirk Thrived Outside Corporate Media

Despite Fox’s efforts to sideline him, Kelly praised Kirk’s independence and grassroots success.

“Charlie was fiercely independent,” Kelly said. “He built his own platform and rose to power without the approval of big corporate media.”

The Bigger Fight: Conservative Values vs. Corporate Elites

This controversy shines a light on a growing divide within the conservative movement.
Many grassroots conservatives feel betrayed by big-name media outlets that profit from their audience while silencing pro-Trump voices.

For Kelly, the lesson is clear:

“Charlie’s story proves you don’t need the corporate media to make a difference. True conservative leaders rise on their own terms.”

Final Thoughts: Will Conservatives Stand Up?

Fox News may still dominate cable news ratings, but its actions are leaving a deep scar among Trump’s base.

Kirk’s story serves as a warning: free speech can be threatened from within our own ranks.
