This is terrifying.
A stunning accusation out of Europe has put Russian leader Vladimir Putin back in the global spotlight. Officials claim Moscow deliberately jammed the GPS systems of a aircraft carrying European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, nearly forcing a catastrophe in the skies.
Emergency Landing After GPS Failure
Von der Leyen’s plane was flying over Bulgaria on Monday when critical navigation systems were disrupted. The aircraft made an emergency diversion and landed safely at Plovdiv airport, according to European Commission spokeswoman Arianna Podestà.
“We can indeed confirm that there was GPS jamming,” Podestà revealed. “Bulgarian authorities strongly suspect Russia was behind the interference.”
Europe Pushes Confrontation, Trump Pushes Peace
Von der Leyen has been one of the loudest critics of President Donald Trump’s peace efforts in Ukraine. Instead of pursuing dialogue, she has focused on sanctions, escalation, and military buildup. Just weeks ago, she joined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House to announce yet another wave of sanctions against Moscow.
By contrast, President Trump’s team continues working behind closed doors to deliver what Europe has failed to achieve: a negotiated peace that stops the bloodshed and stabilizes the region.
White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff recently met with senior Ukrainian officials in New York, reaffirming the Trump administration’s commitment to bringing Kyiv and Moscow to the table.
A Dangerous Game in Europe
The alleged Russian attack raises urgent questions: Is Europe pushing the continent toward safety—or into chaos? Critics warn that constant escalation and finger-pointing only increase the danger for ordinary citizens.
President Trump has consistently argued for “peace through strength,” warning that reckless behavior could spiral into disaster. With Putin accused of targeting planes and Brussels demanding more sanctions, the world is left wondering: Will Europe’s leaders choose confrontation—or will Trump deliver peace?
