Democrats are demented.
A shocking tragedy in Minneapolis has left the nation in mourning after a gunman opened fire during Mass at Annunciation Catholic School. Two children were killed, and more than a dozen others were injured. Families gathered in prayer are now grieving an unimaginable loss.
Instead of offering unity, Democrats and liberal media voices quickly turned the moment into a political weapon — attacking President Trump, conservatives, and even the power of prayer.
Democrats Blame Trump and Mock Prayer
Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) posted an angry message online, claiming children were “probably praying when they were shot,” before blaming Trump for supposedly cutting government programs.
Lincoln Project strategist Jeff Timmer attacked Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) for offering prayers, sneering that “the kids were praying when they died” and launching a vulgar insult.
MSNBC host Jen Psaki — President Biden’s former press secretary — mocked the idea of prayer, calling it “not enough” and “nonsense.” MSNBC contributor Michael Steele went further, dismissing prayer as “a lie.”
Liberal Media Joins the Chorus
Other Democrats piled on. Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) declared “Congress must act.” Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D-Colo.) wrote that “thoughts and prayers” don’t help. CNN’s Dana Bash and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey suggested prayer was useless because “the children were literally praying” during the attack.
On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Frey repeated the same talking point — saying prayers were “welcome” but “not enough.” The comments were quickly amplified across liberal media outlets.
Faith, Family, and Conservative Values Under Fire
For millions of Americans — especially Christian families — these remarks cut deep. At a time when parents are afraid to send their children to school or even church, the Left is openly mocking prayer and vilifying faith.
Instead of supporting grieving families, Democrats are once again blaming Trump, demonizing conservatives, and dismissing religion.
The Suspect Identified
Law enforcement identified the attacker as an individual reportedly known by two names, Robin Westman and Robert Westman. Investigators continue to piece together details about the horrific crime.
