This needs to happen.
President Donald Trump is once again going head-to-head with the liberal media, this time torching NBC for renewing Seth Meyers’ contract on Late Night. Trump blasted the network and mocked Meyers as a “dope” with “no ratings” and “no talent.”
Trump Slams NBC Over Seth Meyers
In a fiery Truth Social post early Wednesday, Trump didn’t hold back:
“I’m hearing a disturbing rumor that Fake News NBC has decided to keep one of the worst late-night hosts on television, Seth Meyers. The guy has no ratings, no real talent, and acts like an insecure child. Why NBC would want to extend this clown’s contract is beyond me—but I’ll be looking into it!”
NBC quietly extended Meyers’ contract through 2028, but Trump’s remarks once again shine a spotlight on the toxic relationship between the mainstream media and America’s conservatives.
Trump’s War on Late Night “Fake News” Comedy
This isn’t the first time Trump has cheered the downfall of late-night hosts. He recently celebrated the news that CBS is pulling the plug on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert next year. Trump also joked that ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel should be “next” to go, pointing out that these shows act less like comedy and more like partisan smear campaigns.
For years, these so-called comedians have mocked conservatives while propping up Democrats. Trump argues that late-night television has turned into nothing more than free advertising for the Left.
Liberal Media Bias in the Spotlight
The President also raised the stakes against the major networks, calling out their abuse of America’s public airwaves:
“How is it that ABC and NBC, two of the most dishonest and biased networks on the planet, aren’t shelling out millions every year in license fees? With their nonstop attacks on Republicans and Conservatives, they don’t deserve to keep those licenses at all. At the very least, they should be paying heavily for the privilege of using America’s airwaves!”
Seth Meyers’ Obsession With Trump
Meyers, like Colbert and Kimmel, has built his entire career on nightly Trump-bashing. Instead of comedy, his monologues are political hit jobs filled with insults toward conservatives.
Trump dismissed Meyers earlier this year after briefly watching his show:
“I ended up catching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night for the first time in ages — what a complete fool.”
Bottom Line: Trump Fights Back Against Media Elites
President Trump’s latest takedown proves one thing — he’s not afraid to call out the liberal elites in Hollywood and the Fake News networks that defend them. With Colbert gone, Kimmel under fire, and Meyers clinging to his NBC contract, Trump’s fight against biased entertainment is only heating up.
And while the media tries to protect its own, millions of Americans are cheering for Trump to keep holding them accountable.
