Laura Ingraham Calls Out Trump

Conservative Host Warns Against Flood of Foreign Students

Fox News star Laura Ingraham is sounding the alarm after President Trump suggested the U.S. could allow up to 600,000 Chinese students into American universities as part of his ongoing negotiations with Beijing.

“Why on earth are we helping Harvard and UCLA?” Ingraham asked on her prime-time show. “These schools are already factories of anti-American propaganda, and now they’re cashing in on foreign students while our kids lose opportunities. How does that make sense?”

American Students Left Behind?

Ingraham stressed that U.S. universities should prioritize American families first, not foreign nationals from a communist rival.
“I just don’t get it,” she continued. “That’s 600,000 seats our own kids won’t have. Why should China’s students get the red-carpet treatment when American students are struggling with debt and being shut out of elite schools?”

Trump’s Defense: “It’s Very Important”

Speaking earlier at the White House, Trump said allowing Chinese students is crucial for maintaining better relations with Beijing.
“We’re going to get along with China,” Trump said. “People tell me, ‘Don’t let their students in.’ But I say we’re going to allow them. It’s very important — 600,000 students. It matters a lot.”

Conservative Concerns Over Universities and Propaganda

The remarks sparked unease among conservatives who argue that universities are already deeply influenced by foreign cash and left-wing ideology. With Trump’s administration cracking down on illegal immigration and foreign interference, critics say the plan undercuts his America First agenda.

For many, the debate boils down to this: Should America’s most prestigious universities serve American children first, or should they continue opening their doors to wealthy students from China who bankroll institutions accused of pushing anti-American values?
