Schumer Asks Americans To Stand With Him Over Trump, Will You?

Trump Makes Huge Ukraine Decision

President Donald Trump has drawn a firm line in talks with European leaders, making it clear that any deal over Ukraine will not involve American troops on the ground and will not include NATO membership for Kyiv.

According to multiple reports, Trump spoke Saturday morning with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European officials about a potential U.S.-backed, NATO-style security framework as part of negotiations to end the war with Russia.

“European and American security guarantees were discussed,” one insider confirmed. “U.S. troops on the ground were not discussed or entertained by President Trump.”

Trump’s America First Approach

Trump’s stance echoes his long-held position: the United States should not be dragged into endless foreign wars while footing the bill for Europe’s defense. Instead, he is pressing for a peace framework that protects Ukraine’s sovereignty without risking American lives.

This approach sharply contrasts with globalist leaders in Europe who continue to push Ukraine’s path toward NATO membership—a move that would directly escalate tensions with Moscow.

Zelenskyy Demands Stronger Guarantees

Zelenskyy acknowledged this week that the U.S. has not yet put forward firm guarantees. He insisted that Europe must remain involved, given its financial and military support.

On Saturday, the Ukrainian leader wrote that security must be “reliable and long-term, with the involvement of both Europe and the U.S.” He also stressed that no territorial decisions could be made without Ukraine’s approval, and called for tougher sanctions on Russia.

NATO Membership Off the Table

While European leaders issued a joint statement welcoming Trump’s leadership, they reiterated support for Ukraine’s eventual NATO membership. Trump, however, is holding firm—rejecting membership but offering a security shield that would apply if Russia attempted another invasion after a peace deal.

The European statement praised Trump’s willingness to provide guarantees but warned that Russia should not dictate Ukraine’s future, whether in NATO or the European Union.

Rubio and Vance Leading Talks

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance reportedly began detailed discussions last week with Zelenskyy’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak. The talks center on crafting an agreement that balances security for Ukraine with Trump’s America First policy.

For conservatives, this is a defining moment: Trump is proving once again that he can protect U.S. interests, push for global peace, and avoid reckless foreign entanglements that have cost America dearly in the past.
