Trump Makes New Nomination
President Donald Trump has once again delivered on his promise to reshape America’s courts with strong constitutional defenders. On Thursday evening, Trump revealed the selection of Rebecca Taibleson to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals—his sixth federal appellate court appointment of his second term.
Trump announced on Truth Social, “I am proud to put forward Rebecca Taibleson for the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Wisconsin. She brings exceptional experience and a strong record of achievement from her service as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and her prior role as Assistant to the United States Solicitor General.”
A Proven Conservative Legal Mind
Taibleson’s résumé reads like a blueprint for a rock-solid constitutionalist. She clerked for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and the late Justice Antonin Scalia, two towering figures in conservative legal thought. In 2018, she even testified in support of Kavanaugh’s confirmation, taking a stand for judicial integrity in the face of left-wing attacks.
Defending the Constitution, Protecting American Values
Trump described her as “an outstanding choice who will stand firmly in defense of the Constitution and uphold the rule of law with strength and integrity.” Taibleson has worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Wisconsin’s Eastern District since 2016 and now serves as co-chief of the office’s appellate division.
Wisconsin’s Choice, Trump’s Confirmation Push
Her nomination comes after Wisconsin Senators Ron Johnson (R) and Tammy Baldwin (D) sent the president a shortlist to fill the upcoming vacancy when Judge Diane Sykes takes senior status in October. Senator Johnson called her “an excellent choice” and urged a swift confirmation.
Trump’s Judicial Legacy Continues to Grow
With this nomination, President Trump reinforces his mission to place judges on the bench who will reject judicial activism, respect the separation of powers, and protect the freedoms enshrined in America’s founding documents.
This is how Trump is making sure the courts remain in the hands of those who will defend faith, family, and freedom for generations to come.
