Conway Attacks Trump

Liberal pundit George Conway went on the offensive Wednesday, blasting President Donald Trump for taking decisive action to restore law and order in Washington, D.C. — a city long controlled by Democrats and plagued by skyrocketing crime.

Speaking on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes, Conway accused the president of going beyond traditional politics. “This isn’t conservatism. This isn’t Republicanism. It’s authoritarianism,” he claimed, before adding inflammatory labels like “gangsterism” and “thugism.”

Conway went further, comparing Trump to a fictional mob boss: “We don’t have Ronald Reagan anymore, we have Tony Soprano,” he said, charging that the president was “bullying” and “threatening” those who stand in his way.

Trump Takes Control to Protect Public Safety

Conway’s comments came just days after President Trump announced a federal takeover of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and ordered the National Guard into the streets to protect residents. The move, he said, is aimed at ending the wave of violent crime that has turned parts of the capital into dangerous no-go zones.

D.C. leaders — who have long embraced liberal policies on policing — have pushed back, but Trump isn’t backing down. “We’ll work with Congress for long-term extensions,” he said Wednesday. “If it’s a national emergency, we can do it without Congress.”

A Clear Choice Between Order and Chaos

For many Americans, Trump’s actions are a refreshing return to law-and-order leadership in the face of rising violence. While critics hurl insults, the president is making it clear that the safety of law-abiding citizens comes first — even if that means stepping over political opposition from entrenched Democrat leadership.

With crime surging and D.C. residents demanding change, Trump’s crackdown is setting the tone for a broader national debate: Will America choose strong leadership and safe streets, or more chaos under failed liberal governance?
