Republicans are getting closer to the truth.
The Clinton political machine may finally be facing its most dangerous challenge yet. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) confirmed Monday that former President Bill Clinton’s alleged connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are now at the center of a high-stakes congressional investigation.
Speaking exclusively on Newsmax, Comer made it clear that the American people deserve answers:
“Every single American wants to know the truth about Epstein Island. We’ve all heard reports that Bill Clinton was a frequent visitor. That makes him a prime candidate to be questioned under oath by the House Oversight Committee.”
Bipartisan Support for Clinton Subpoenas
On August 5, Comer issued subpoenas to both Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, demanding testimony as part of the House GOP’s deep probe into Epstein’s inner circle. In a rare twist, Democrats joined Republicans in backing the request, giving the subpoenas unusual bipartisan weight in court.
“I’ve never lost a subpoena battle,” Comer said confidently. “This is the most challenging one yet, but when Democrats and Republicans agree, that gives it real strength. We want Bill Clinton in front of Congress this October.”
Republican Attorney General Ready to Act
If the 42nd president refuses to comply, Comer warned that Attorney General Pam Bondi is prepared to enforce the law. “Contempt of Congress is a real possibility,” Comer said. “With a Republican attorney general, the Clintons will have to think very carefully before ignoring a lawful order.”
Comer also noted that the move mirrors past Democratic actions during the January 6th investigations, where subpoenas were aggressively enforced.
Other High-Profile Figures Called to Testify
The investigation’s scope reaches beyond the Clintons. Former Trump Attorney General William Barr and Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland have also been summoned, underscoring the bipartisan seriousness of the probe.
A Defining Test for Washington
For millions of Americans, this moment represents a long-awaited push for accountability. With President Donald Trump’s administration taking a hard line on exposing corruption, the message is clear: no one, no matter how politically powerful, is above the law.
