Explosive new emails reveal that President Joe Biden’s staff quietly canceled part of a major shipyard visit — simply because it required him to take too many steps.
The documents, obtained through a FOIA request by Protect the Public’s Trust and reviewed by Fox News Digital, show that in July 2023, Biden was scheduled to tour a National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) at a Philadelphia shipyard. This visit was supposed to highlight his “green jobs” push and offshore wind projects.
But behind the scenes, Biden’s team scrapped the tour once they realized how many steps it would take to board the ship.
In one candid message, a U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) official wrote that the White House had decided against visiting the NSMV vessel after realizing the number of steps required to board, noting, “True — there are quite a lot of steps on the grating.”
Even more alarming, the FOIA records show chaos and miscommunication between the White House and the Department of Transportation. A DOT official admitted:
“MARAD hasn’t had anyone reach out to them from WH… Nothing else heard and no further call made or received on this event.”
This decision came just weeks after Biden stumbled and fell on stage at the Air Force Academy graduation in Colorado Springs. The White House claimed he tripped over a sandbag — but critics saw it as part of a disturbing pattern of physical and mental decline.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre bristled at questions about Biden’s age, instead listing talking points about his legislative record and “Unity Agenda.”
Michael Chamberlain, Director of Protect the Public’s Trust, didn’t hold back:
“Failing to notify the DOT of a presidential visit is amateurish. Even worse, the president’s own staff was avoiding events he couldn’t physically manage more than a year before he dropped out of the 2024 race. Americans expect a president who can take the stairs in an emergency — not one whose schedule is built around avoiding them.”
While a former Biden aide dismissed the criticism, claiming the email lacked “context,” the facts are clear: Biden’s handlers altered his public appearances to hide his physical limitations while publicly insisting he was “fit for duty.”
