Trump sounded off!

President Donald Trump is taking aim at liberal Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman — blasting the former New York Times columnist for attacking Trump’s bold America First tariff plan.

Trump: “He’s Been Wrong for Years”

In a no-holds-barred Truth Social post late Sunday, Trump reminded Americans that Krugman has been predicting “doom and gloom” ever since the president’s historic 2016 victory.

“Paul Krugman of the New York Times has been wrong for YEARS, while our markets have been breaking record after record,” Trump wrote. “We are seeing the BEST MARKET IN HISTORY, yet people stayed out because of this Trump-Deranged BUM. Sue them!”

Krugman Takes His Attacks to Substack

Krugman, who abruptly left the Times last year after over two decades, is now using his Substack blog to trash Trump’s trade reforms. In a Sunday post, he claimed many of the new tariffs are “clearly illegal” and accused Trump of reversing “90 years of tariff reductions.”

The liberal economist went even further, calling Trump’s trade war “class warfare” against middle and lower-income Americans — while suggesting it benefits the wealthy elite.

Tariffs Go Into Effect – Protecting American Jobs

Trump’s latest round of tariffs — ranging from 10% to 50% on dozens of trading partners — officially took effect last week. Supporters say the move will protect American manufacturing, safeguard U.S. jobs, and finally hold global competitors accountable.

For many, Krugman’s comments are just the latest example of an out-of-touch liberal elite attacking policies that put working Americans first — while ignoring decades of disastrous globalist trade deals that hollowed out U.S. industry.

Bottom Line: Trump’s supporters see the president’s trade policies as a bold stand for the American worker — and Paul Krugman’s attacks as just another tired talking point from the liberal media establishment.
