Trump Gets A New Ambassador
In a major win for President Donald Trump and his “America First” foreign policy, the U.S. Senate has confirmed former fast-food CEO Andy Puzder as Ambassador to the European Union.
Puzder’s confirmation was approved by a 53-44 vote on Saturday. In a rare move, two Democrats—Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire—crossed party lines to support Trump’s nominee.
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), often a thorn in the side of Trump-aligned conservatives, voted against confirmation.
The White House celebrated the decision, posting on X:
“CONFIRMED: @AndyPuzder as Representative of the United States of America to the European Union.”
Trump Rewards Proven Leadership
President Trump nominated Puzder in January, praising his strong record as a job creator and businessman. As the former CEO of CKE Restaurants, Puzder rescued brands like Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s from financial turmoil.
“Andy Puzder is a fighter,” Trump said at the time. “He knows how to save jobs, grow companies, and protect American interests. He’ll do an excellent job representing the U.S. in Europe.”
A Comeback—and a Message
This marks the second time Trump has tapped Puzder for high-level service. In 2017, Puzder was nominated to lead the Department of Labor. But he withdrew amid a media firestorm and political attacks—based on decades-old claims that were later withdrawn.
His confirmation now sends a clear message: under President Trump, character assassinations from the political left won’t stand in the way of qualified, pro-America leaders.
Conservatives Applaud Bold Move
For many conservatives, Puzder’s appointment represents a long-overdue return to common sense. Instead of appointing career diplomats with globalist leanings, Trump is putting real-world business leaders in positions of power.
With rising tensions in Europe and an increasingly unstable EU, Trump’s move to install Puzder signals a renewed commitment to standing up for American workers, American trade, and American values.
Why It Matters
At a time when Washington insiders and global elites are trying to undermine the will of the people, President Trump is once again proving he works for Main Street—not Brussels or Davos.
Puzder’s confirmation is a victory for patriotic Americans who believe in strong borders, fair trade, and fearless leadership on the world stage.
