This is a wild statement to make.
Stacey Abrams, the twice-defeated Democrat who failed to win Georgia’s governor’s seat in both 2018 and 2022, is back in the headlines—this time by claiming that “true Christians” should support far-left policies.
In a revealing interview with NPR, Abrams floated the idea of a third run for governor, stating, “I truly have not made any decisions… there’s an urgency to 2025 that we cannot ignore.” Rather than focusing on Georgia’s economy, border security, or rising crime, Abrams is placing her faith in progressive activism and woke politics.
Rewriting Christianity to Fit a Radical Agenda
Abrams, who once served as Georgia House Minority Leader, made controversial remarks suggesting that authentic Christianity requires support for illegal immigration, transgender activism, and left-wing social causes.
“I cannot call myself a Christian and not believe that it is my responsibility to help the stranger… to help immigrants, to help the dispossessed,” she said, before condemning fellow believers for opposing gender ideology and LGBTQ+ agendas.
In Abrams’ view, rejecting radical leftist ideology makes Christians somehow unfaithful. Her version of “Christianity” sounds more like a political agenda than a spiritual calling.
Attacking Trump, Defending Riots
Abrams also slammed President Donald Trump for restoring order during violent anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles—riots that included flag burnings, attacks on police, and destruction of public property.
President Trump deployed 700 U.S. Marines and 2,000 National Guard troops to stop the mayhem and protect American lives. But Abrams viewed this decisive action as a threat to democracy, calling it “a violation of every precept of democratic rule under a civilian leader.”
It’s yet another example of how today’s Democrat elites side with lawless mobs over law enforcement.
Opposing Merit, Defending DEI Discrimination
What seemed to upset Abrams most was President Trump’s executive order ending DEI mandates in the federal government. His directive—titled “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity”—aimed to eliminate race-based quotas and woke hiring practices.
But Abrams called the move dangerous. She claimed it was part of a broader effort to “demonize” and “dehumanize” communities. In reality, it was about restoring fairness, equal opportunity, and American meritocracy—values most hardworking Americans still believe in.
Faith Under Attack by the Far Left
Abrams isn’t just pushing a political message—she’s trying to reshape the Christian faith to fit the Democrat Party’s radical agenda. Her comments suggest that unless you embrace open borders, DEI ideology, and transgender rights, your faith isn’t “real.”
This should raise red flags for every believer who values religious freedom, moral clarity, and constitutional rights.
BOTTOM LINE:
Stacey Abrams may be gearing up for another run in Georgia, but her message is clear: traditional Christian values have no place in today’s Democrat Party. Instead, faith must be twisted to support open borders, identity politics, and anti-Trump narratives.
As President Trump continues to fight for freedom, faith, and common sense, voters across the country—especially in red states—should be asking: How far is the left willing to go to silence our values?
