Trump Trashes Forbes
“Forbes should’ve been dead already,” Trump says, torches ‘anti-American’ reporting
President Donald J. Trump unleashed a fiery broadside against Forbes Magazine on Monday, taking direct aim at one of its reporters and calling the outlet “a disgrace to journalism” that peddles fake news with a political agenda.
Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote:
“Dan Alexander — a no-talent writer for the badly failing Forbes Magazine — just can’t stop publishing fake, distorted nonsense about me. Probably couldn’t land a real job in business, so he clings to writing hit pieces. Pathetic!”
The president, who built a multi-billion-dollar real estate empire long before entering politics, made it clear he hasn’t spoken with anyone at Forbes “in years.”
“They don’t want facts — they want fiction. Forbes has become a shell of its former self. Biased. Inaccurate. And worst of all, it’s now foreign-owned,” he added.
Since 2014, Forbes has been under the control of Integrated Whale Media, a company based in Hong Kong, a fact many conservatives find deeply troubling given rising concerns about Chinese influence in American media and politics.
Trump didn’t hold back, writing:
“I honestly thought Forbes would’ve folded by now — but it’s still around, like a bad rash. That’s what happens when you have dishonest reporters with anti-American intentions. Eventually, they go down. I’ve seen it before, and I’ll see it again.”
This is not the first time the 45th president has taken on Forbes. In 2023, the magazine made headlines for removing Trump from its list of America’s wealthiest individuals — a move that many critics saw as politically motivated and rooted in media bias rather than reality.
Media in Trump’s Crosshairs Again
Trump’s post is part of a broader offensive against what he has long dubbed the “Fake News Media.” In recent days, he has taken aim at CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and even the major broadcast networks. He has warned that under a second Trump administration, biased media outlets could face investigation and accountability from the FCC and other oversight bodies.
A Growing Conservative Backlash
Conservative Americans — especially those over 50 who remember a time when journalism still meant integrity — are growing increasingly frustrated with the mainstream media’s open hostility toward traditional values, patriotism, and President Trump himself. Forbes, once considered a reputable source of business news, is now lumped in with left-leaning outlets accused of misinformation and censorship.
