Trump delivers again.

President Donald J. Trump announced Sunday that he has secured a potential buyer for TikTok’s U.S. operations — a major step toward protecting American users from Chinese influence and keeping the popular app alive for millions of young Americans.

In an exclusive interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, President Trump confirmed that a group of “very wealthy people” is prepared to purchase TikTok from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. He said their identities will be revealed within the next two weeks.

“There’s a buyer lined up for TikTok,” Trump stated. “It’ll likely require approval from China, and I believe President Xi will end up signing off on it.”

The potential deal comes as a 2024 U.S. law requires ByteDance to divest TikTok’s American assets or face a complete ban. The app must be sold or show significant progress toward a sale by September 17, following a series of deadline extensions granted by President Trump.

Trump Puts America First — Again

The Trump administration has long warned that TikTok poses a national security threat, citing concerns that American data could be accessed by the Chinese Communist Party. While an earlier plan to create a U.S.-controlled spinoff stalled due to resistance from Beijing, Trump’s tough stance on tariffs and foreign ownership is pushing negotiations back on track.

By demanding strong terms and refusing to cave to pressure from China, President Trump is once again proving he knows how to make deals that benefit American interests, not globalist elites.

Protecting U.S. Tech and the Next Generation

TikTok has exploded in popularity among younger voters — a demographic that supported Trump in record numbers during the 2024 election. Securing the app’s future under U.S. control sends a clear message: President Trump is fighting to protect both the next generation and our digital borders.

This move could also unlock major opportunities for U.S. tech investors, data privacy advocates, and American workers, ensuring that critical platforms remain free from authoritarian influence.

As President Trump put it, “He’s not just thinking about today — he’s protecting tomorrow.”
