President Donald Trump has issued a clear warning to Senate Republicans: support him—or face political fallout.

On Saturday, the White House released a direct message urging the Senate to pass Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Act” by July 4. The administration made it clear: failure to act would be seen as a betrayal of the conservative movement and the American people.

“This bill delivers on the promises made to voters—lower taxes, stronger borders, and real American growth,” the official statement read. “President Trump expects Congress to get it done.”

What’s in Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill”?

The 940-page, multi-trillion-dollar plan is a bold rewrite of the nation’s priorities—and a clear reversal of Biden-era policies:

  • Permanently extends Trump’s 2017 tax cuts
  • Eliminates federal taxes on tips and overtime pay
  • Ends tax breaks for wind and solar projects
  • Boosts border security funding
  • Increases the SALT deduction cap to $40,000
  • Protects rural hospitals and Medicaid providers
  • Adds stronger work requirements for SNAP recipients
  • Raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion to support growth initiatives

The bill also includes a provision to sell off select federal lands, a proposal championed by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), to return land back to the states and the people.

GOP Infighting Could Derail the Plan

While most Republicans back the plan, not all are on board.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Fox & Friends Weekend that he plans to vote “no” on proceeding with debate, citing a lack of time to review the massive bill.

“We just got the text around 1:30 in the morning,” Johnson said. “I want to support President Trump’s goals, but we deserve time to read what we’re voting on.”

With only a 53-47 Republican majority, the Senate can afford to lose just three GOP votes before Vice President JD Vance would need to cast the tie-breaking ballot.

Clock Ticking Toward Independence Day Deadline

President Trump is pushing hard to get the bill to his desk before the July 4 holiday. A slightly different version already passed the House by a single vote back in May. But with new Senate revisions, the bill will require another House vote.

Momentum hit a roadblock Thursday after Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough struck down a provision that would have ended taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants—a policy widely supported by Trump’s base.

Still, the President remains focused:

“The Great Republicans in the U.S. Senate are working all weekend to finish our ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Bottom Line: Pass It—Or Pay the Price

The Trump administration is framing this bill as a defining test of loyalty. For Republican senators, the message is simple: vote yes, or prepare for consequences at the ballot box.

This legislation is more than a policy victory—it’s a promise kept to hardworking Americans, small business owners, and families who believe in economic freedom, secure borders, and common-sense reform.
